ENTRANCE TEST FOR DIPLOMA IN HORTICULTURE COURSE PASSED CANDIDATES FROM ANDHRA PRADESH FOR ADMISSION INTO B.Sc. (HONS.) HORTICULTURE COURSE FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2020-21

Dr. Y.S.R Horticultural University invites applications from Diploma in Horticulture candidates for admission into four years B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture Degree programme through HORTICET-2020 for the academic year 2020-21.

1. ELIGIBILITY : A pass in Diploma in Horticulture course from Dr. YSRHU. (Those who are going to complete the Diploma requirements in 2019-20 academic year can also apply, but submission of Final Memorandum of Marks-cum-Pass Certificate of Diploma in Horticulture is must at the time of Admission counselling). 2. AGE : The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission with an upper age limit of 22 years for all candidates, 25 years in respect of S.C. & S.T. candidates and 27 years in respect of Physically Challenged (Differently abled) candidates. 3. SEATS : Total No. of seats allotted to diploma holders is 15% of seats of B.Sc (Hons.) Horticulture: i.e., 83 seats {47 (Uni. College seats) + 36 (Pvt. College Seats) & 09 EWS quota seats (05 Uni. College seats) + 04 (Pvt. College seats)} Total =92 seats (Uni. College seats + Pvt. College seats) 4. RESERVATION : 1) As per rules of Government of Andhra Pradesh. 2) The above seats will be allocated in the ratio of 85% for local candidates and remaining 15% seats will be treated as unreserved quota. 5. MEDIUM OF : The question paper contains questions in Telugu Medium ENTRANCE TEST 6. SYLLABUS : The Syllabus prescribed by Dr.YSRHU to Diploma in Horticulture Course. 7. DURATION & Entrance test is for 2.00 hours duration and the question paper (Multiple choice MARKS objective type questions) consists of 200 multiple choice bits. 8. LAST DATE FOR : a) Interested candidates may apply for admission in the prescribed proforma SUBMISSION OF (enclosed) along with a Demand Draft of Rs.750/- (Rupees Seven hundred and fifty HORTICET-2020 only) for General/BC candidates and for Rs.375/- (Rupees Three hundred & APPLICATION seventy five only) in case of SC/ST/Differently abled persons drawn in favour of the “COMPTROLLER, Dr. Y.S.R HORTICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, payable at TADEPALLIGUDEM” Branch IFSC Code:ANDB0000550 on any Nationalized Bank (Original DD should be attached with the application form). b) Application form duly filled in should reach “The Registrar, Dr.Y.S.R Horticultural University, Venkataramannagudem-534101, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh on or before 20-10-2020 by 4.00 PM either in person or by post. Applications received after the last date will not be entertained and Dr. YSRHU is not responsible for any postal delay.

10. ISSUE OF HALL TICKETS The list of eligible candidates along with the Hall Ticket numbers will be displayed in the University website i.e., www.drysrhu.edu.in. Please download Hall Ticket and attend the HORTICET test. Candidates without MASK are not permitted to enter the Examination Centre. Candidates are allowed to carry the following items with them into the exam centre in view of COVID-19 pandemic. 1) Gloves 2) Personal transparent water bottle 3) A simple pen 4) Exam related material (ID Card etc.,) *No other item will be permitted inside the exam centre.

11. QUALIFYING MARKS : The qualifying percentage of marks for the HORTICET-2020 is 25% of FOR HORTICET-2020 the aggregate marks and in the case of SC/ST candidates there shall be no minimum qualifying marks for ranking the candidates in HORTICET being conducted by the Dr. YSRHU.

12. HORTICET-2020 : The merit list of the candidates will be displayed in the University website. RESULTS For the preparation of merit list in case of more than one student securing the same marks, the tie shall be resolved by considering the following:

1. The percentage of aggregate marks secured in the qualifying examination i.e., OGPA in Diploma in Horticulture course.

2. If the tie still persists the date of birth of the concerned candidates shall be considered and elder one shall be given preference.

Latest Conduct Certificate issued by the Head of the Institute last attended that he/she has never been found guilty of misconduct during the study period and never been fined or punished. 4. Latest Caste Certificate (In case of SC/ST/BC’s) issued by the Mandal Revenue Officer 5. Certificates issued by the concerned authorities of State in the case of Special categories like Physically Disabled persons, NCC, SPORTS and CAP 6. Latest EWS (Reservation for Economically Weeker Section) Certificate issued by the Mandal Revenue Officer

INSTURCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES

1. Downloaded Hall Tickets shall be presented to the Supervising Officer at the Entrance Test Centre. If any candidate failed to get Hall-Ticket he/she can take the Duplicate Hall Ticket by showing your ID card as proof. Candidates without MASK are not permitted to enter the Examination Centre. Candidates are allowed to carry the following items with them into the exam centre in view of COVID-19 pandemic. 1) Gloves 2) Personal transparent water bottle 3) A simple pen 4) Exam related material (ID Card etc.,) * No other item will be permitted inside the exam centre. 2. No travelling expenses will be paid for to and fro for appearing for the entrance test

3. Violation of any instructions and adoption of any malpractices in the examination Hall shall render in cancellation of his/her answer-script and forfeiture of his/her claim for appearing in the Entrance Test. The decision of the Convener of the Entrance Test Centre shall be final in all these matters.

4. The candidates will not be admitted to the examination after the start of examination and will not be allowed to leave the examination hall till the first half an hour is over.

5. Answers must be written in blue/black ink. Pencil or Sketch pen or ink of any other colour is not allowed.

6. Issue of Hall Ticket and appearance at the examination does not automatically entitle a candidate for admission.
