INFORMATIONEN Wynn Stewart wird generell als einer der unverfälschtesten aller Countrysänger gelobt und als einer der Architekten des klassi- schen Bakersfield Sound bezeichnet. Zu denjenigen, die Wynn zu den besten und einflußreichsten Countrysängern zählen, ge- hören Dwight Yoakam, Buck Owens, Harlan Howard (er schrieb viele Hits für Wynn) und Merle Haggard (er begann seine Karriere in Wynns Band).
