None of this would be possible without the generous support of the Sanger Community and the Foundation Supporters. Without telling our teachers’ needs, stories or that of our students’ needs or educational dreams, it is very difficult to articulate “ a return of investment” to those who question the true impact of a grant award. The Foundation wants to share last year’s Student Enrichment Recipient “thank you” letter. As a community and as a supporting organization, we ask our educators to prepare, encourage and teach where each individual is able to use that knowledge to grow beyond our classroom walls. This year was a memorable year for the Foundation and for me. I have the honor of serving as the President of the Board for the Foundation as it moved into its second decade of existence. It is also the year my father, Jesse A. Coffey, Sr. passed away. Our family has been involved with the Foundation almost from its inception when Jeff and Valerie gave us the opportunity to establish an Endowment in memory of our Mom, Joan Bauer Coffey. This year we added Dad to the Memorial Endowment to honor his contributions to the community and Sanger ISD. Jesse and Joan were firm believers in the Sanger School system and were actively involved with our education and the community. Jesse was elected to the Sanger School Board and Joan had been a teacher in Victoria, Texas prior to moving to Sanger. The Sanger schools and community prepared all of us to meet the challenges of college and career and gave us the firm foundation to be productive citizens, friends, spouses and parents. It is an honor to serve with the Foundation. The Foundation allowed us the opportunity to further preserve our parent’s legacy in the community they chose to live in and loved so much. Please help us insure the success of the Foundation in its second decade by establishing and preserving your own legacy within the Foundation. We are looking forward the 2016-2017 school year with great excitement. Enjoy the summer and please consider getting involved with the Foundation... your generosity and involvement strengthen our community and our children’s future! God Bless, Stephen Coffey THANK YOU COSERV
