Operating on the protected waters of Sandusky Bay, the Sandusky Sailing Club offers the ideal learn to sail program and location. On-the-water classes are offered on Tuesday evenings and on weekends.

Tuesday Evening Classes – 5 weekly sessions: 6:00-8:30pm 1st Class runs Tuesday, May 30 through June 27 2nd Class runs Tuesday, July 11 through August 8 Weekend Classes – Sat/Sun sessions: 9:00am-12:15pm & 1:30-4:30pm 1st Class – July 15, 16 2nd Class – August 19, 20 Course Fee – $395 and includes an instruction manual, 12 ½ hours of on-the-water instruction and complimentary six month SSC crew membership providing access to SSC grounds, clubhouse and all SSC social and educational events. Upon completion of course, sailboats can be chartered for day sails on Sandusky Bay at the rate of $150 per half day or $250 for a full day. All class segments take place aboard one of SSC’s 22 or 24 foot tiller-steered, -rigged sailboats. Students are responsible for providing their own USCG approved PFD and must wear closed-toed, non-marking shoes. Regardless of which course option you choose, you will learn/practice the skills and acquire the knowledge you will need to confidently skipper and day-sail one of SSC’s sailboats on Sandusky Bay.
