Ltd Arun Valley with Everest Base Camp Trek Arun Valley with Everest Base Camp Trek Best Season: March-April-May and September-October-November Arun Valley with Everest Base Camp Trek, Everest Region Trekking lie in Sagarmatha and Makalu-Barun National Park. It is the most extreme hard and famous trekking to visit the panoramic view of above eight thousand mountains in the world. The Arun valley and Everest base camp provide really superb views of both Mt Everest and Mount Makalu. The trek requires stamina and fitness to fully appreciate the beauty of the region, which provides some outstanding mountain views. Commencing with a flight to Tumlingtar to the East of Everest, the first week is spent trekking through virgin territory into the Solu Khumbu region before a push up on the main Everest trail to Kala Pattar for tremendous close-ups of Everest Nuptse and Lhotse along with many others before a journey back to Lukla and a flight to Kathmandu. An Arun valley trek is still remote but there are available tea house facilities for a small group and it is easy trekking routes up to Lukla follow to the Arun River. It will be trekking on these trails. This trekking is possible to operate in any season. If anyone would like to walk back to Jiri and take a bus to Kathmandu it is also possible or keeps continues to Everest base camp as well. Culturally, the Arun Trek is very interesting - moving from Sherpa through to Rai villages, then down to Chhetri and Brahmin villages. Despite the chain of basic lodges, impromptu lodgings can be found in keeping with traditional hospitality throughout Eastern Nepal. Only one village, probably Brahmin, insisted that I should continue on my way, and would provide me with no food or lodging - otherwise you will usually find helpful and generous people when you need them. This Everest Base Camp & Kalapathar trek based on for the well-experienced hikers and if this does not suit you then you can take alternatively as 20 days one fly in and fly out Lukla. On this trek itinerary, we follow an ancient route that will take us through farm villages, across the valley and through the high mountain and monasteries. The views grow even more spectacular as we venture up the Dudh Kosi River to Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Khumbu region. The trail leads you to Pangboche via Khumjung village, where you will be rewarded with spectacular views of Ama Dablam, Mt. Everest & Lhotse, Thamserku, Kwangde, Heartache. The route follows the Imaj valley to Dingboche and up to the outstanding viewpoint of Kalapathar and Everest base camp and returns to Lukla. Everest trekking region is situated in Sagarmatha National Park which is listed by world heritage sites by UNESCO, which offers the spectacular view of the highlights of higher mountains as well as friendly Sherpa people along Mt. Everest. Himalayan wildlife is commonly seen as musk deer, mountain goats, colorful Pheasants besides these rare species of Red Panda & Snow Leopard are another attraction for the visitors. Pine, Juniper and birch tree are the common forest here as well as colorful rhododendron flowers welcome you to spring. Monasteries can be found most of the places in the bottom part, which makes you spiritual soul, and the flattering flags reps the peace of Himalayas. Itinerary Day 01: Arrival day at Kathmandu Arrival in Kathmandu, we will meet you at the airport to welcome you, drive to the hotel and check-in. Elevation of Kathmandu: 1300m/4264ft Transportation: Private car/Tourist bus as per group size Accommodation: Star hotel Meal: Welcome dinner Day 02: Kathmandu City Tour After your breakfast to head on for our guided day trip to world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley and visit the highlights of Kathmandu and the surrounding areas. We take you to visit the pilgrimage sites of Hindus temple Pashupatinath, one of the most important shrine of Shiva temples on the subcontinent which is a place of thousands of devotees, Saddhus (holy men/Baba), and can be seen the cremating body most of the times in the holy riverbank of Bagmati. Hundreds of monkeys are giggling with you and take time to explore the surrounding area and visit Bouddhanath stupa another pilgrimage center which is the most popular and important place for Buddhist. You can explore with rounding prayer wheel and flattering colorful flag with melodious chanting noise. After visiting Bouddhanath stupa we’ll drive to the City of Devotees (Bhaktapur). This traditional and traffic free town is the third biggest town in the Valley. We’ll explore the medieval-like squares, courtyards, and temples of this vibrant town. After a stop for lunch at a restaurant in Bhaktapur, it’s time to drive back to Kathmandu and meet up with your travel consultant & fellows to prepare for the next day and overnight at the hotel. Accommodation: Star hotel Transportation: Private car/Tourist bus as per group size Meal: Breakfast Day 03: Fly to Tumlingtar, trek to Kattike We'll head to the domestic airport after breakfast for our flight to Tumlingtar in eastern Nepal, the starting point of our trek through the Arun Valley. It's a beautiful flight over terraced fields, hills and traditional villages with a range of Himalayan 8,000-meter peaks peeking over the haze in the distance. The landing is classic old-style Nepal a sharp turn a steep descent to a large grassy field and trek continue. The Arun Salpa Valley trek will be wonderful days of 'old-style' trekking through the idyllic middle hills of eastern Nepal, a very diverse region of many ethnic groups, shamanistic religion interspersed with Buddhism and Hinduism, traditional villages, green, terraced fields, small, riverside trails, and basic accommodation. The mountains view in the hazy distance Chamalang to the left and Makalu to the far-right. Following the small road through the long village and adjoining series of small, lively villages and colorful tea-houses there will be many locals sharing the trail with us, as well as trains of mules carrying cardamom, the biggest cash crop in the region. After an hour, we reach a fantastic suspension bridge with side ties stretching across the wide Arun River and drop down to the sandy riverside, peppered with rounded beach rocks. Following the river closely, we pass terraced rice fields, buffalos, thatched huts and villagers working in the fields. We will have lunch at Chewa Besi. After lunch, we continue to Kartiki Ghat, where we cross the Arun river on a long suspension Main village known as for bees and honey. We stay overnight here at a teahouse. Elevation of Kartiki: 315m/1033ft Transportation: Airfare Flight duration: 30min Trek duration: 3/4hrs Accommodation: Tea house/Lodge Meal: Full Meal Board with tea/coffee enroute Day 04: Trek from Kattike Ghat to Gothe Bazaar We start the morning with an easy twenty minute walk to the lovely village of Balwabesi, where we cross a small river and then start climbing through a lush, tropical forest of cardamom, banana and papaya trees, and past thatched huts to a chautara (local rest-spot, here also a spectacular viewpoint) high above the hazy valley and the Arun River. Leaving the lovely Arun behind, we have 600 meters to climb before lunch. Contouring around hillsides and continuing to climb, we reach Marduwa, a small hamlet village & soon we pass more terraced fields and clusters of ochre and cream mud-brick houses built in the local style, eventually stopping for lunch near Nepali Danda, also called Charlissay, named after a Chettri caste that lived here many years ago, and have not reputedly migrated to the Kathmandu area. Soon we reach the intersection of the old trail from Dingla, and after contouring around a hillside we reach a larger trail near a cluster of banyan trees. The forest thickens again as we ascend and then drop back down to the Irkhuwa River, crossing two bridges, the second a long suspension bridge, and following a riverside trail for another hour or so to Gothe Bazaar, the inhabitants are a mix of Gurung and Rai. At Gothe Bazaar, the local woman will have bunches of sweet bananas and tangerines for sale at the first section of the village for overnight stay. Elevation of Gothe Bazaar: 685m/2246ft Trek duration: 5/6hrs Accommodation: Tea house/Lodge Meal: Full Meal Board with tea/coffee enroute Day 05: Trek from Goethe Bazaar to Salpa Phedi After breakfast, we start as we head towards Lankuwa village and then further on to Dhobani, a village of paper-makers en route to Salpa Phedi. We leave Goethe Bazaar by crossing the stream, and soon pass many thatched huts, some for buffalos and other simple dwellings. Delicious tangerines are sold along the trail again by local villagers, so don't miss the chance to pick up a bunch for the day. We cross the river on a flexing bamboo bridge and trek through several small picturesque whitewashed villages with thatched roofs and ochre bases. We pass through Lankuwa village and then start on a steep, uphill climb to Dhobani along the way keep an eye out for the traditional fishermen with their long bamboo nets. We continue through a thick tropical forest & climb the 'waterfall steps' and eventually reach Tala (Lower) Phedi where they also make paper. We'll stop for lunch before hiking another hour uphill on a lovely hill-side trail backed by undulating grasses rocks and fruit trees until we reach the sprawling settlement of Salpa Phedi for overnight.
