Bellator MMA finalizes Spike TV lineup for “Manhoef vs. Shlemenko” With Addition of Chris Honeycutt vs. Clayton MacFarlane

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (December 22, 2014) – The four-fight Spike TV-broadcast main card is now complete for February’s “Bellator: Manhoef vs. Shlemenko” event with a battle of undefeated prospects, as Chris “The Cutt” Honeycutt (5-0) meets Clayton MacFarlane (4-0) in a welterweight contest.

Featuring a thrilling middleweight matchup between two of the most dangerous strikers in all of mixed martial arts with former Bellator MMA champ Alexander “Storm” Shlemenko (50-9) facing fellow artist Melvin “No Mercy” Manhoef (29-12-1), “Bellator: Manhoef vs. Shlemenko” takes place Feb. 13 at Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif.

Tickets for the event, which start at just $28, are currently available at Ticketmaster.com, SaveMartCenter.com and the Save Mart Center Box Office.

The 26-year-old Honeycutt is a two-time NCAA Division I All- American wrestler out of Edinboro University who was also a two-time high school state champion in his native Ohio. Following his collegiate wrestling career, which ended with a runner-up finish in the 2012 NCAA Division I Wrestling Championship, Honeycutt enlisted the help of fellow Edinboro wrestler Josh Koscheck and now trains at the longtime MMA veteran’s Dethrone Base Camp in Fresno.

Honeycutt made his Bellator MMA debut in September, scoring a second-round TKO win over gritty Englishman Aaron “The Daywalker” Wilkinson.

Meanwhile, MacFarlane makes his Bellator MMA debut after building an undefeated mark through his first four career contests while competing on California’s regional scene. MacFarlane also boasts a collegiate wrestling background, as he was a 2012 NCAA Division II Wrestling Champion while competing for Missouri’s Lindenwood University Saint Charles.

MacFarlane now calls Carlsbad, Calif., home and currently trains alongside three-time Bellator MMA veteran Derek Anderson, as well as MMA notable Robbie Peralta.

Preliminary card bouts for “Bellator: Manhoef vs. Shlemenko” are expected to be announced shortly.
