T O U T S R N A M E N WELCOME 2016 WFTDA DIVISION 2 PLAYOFFS

On behalf of the WFTDA Board of Directors, Officers, and staff, I am excited to welcome you to the 2016 International WFTDA Division 2 Playoffs.

Nothing compares to being here. Plain and simple. The fantastic feats of athleticism on the track, the excitement and emotion in the stands, the concentration and attention to detail on the dais, and the enticing goods in the vendor village.

This is roller derby. We are roller derby.

So who will you be today? Will you be persistent and powerful, strong and swift, a leader on the track? Will you be fierce and fast and forceful, a goal setter…a record breaker? Will you be focused and creative? Will you capture that amazing shot? Will you paint your face and put on your colors? Will you chant and sing and cry and scream?

One thing is clear—whether you’re a Skater, Official, photographer, announcer, or fan (or any combination thereof), TODAY YOU WILL BE ROLLER DERBY!

This weekend wouldn’t be possible without the tremendous amount of support and time our hosts, ICT Roller Girls, and all of their volunteers have put in. When you see their event staff, be sure to thank them for hosting such a fantastic tournament.

Enjoy your time in Wichita and we’ll see you ‘round the track!

Alisha Campbell WFTDA Tournaments Director FROM YOUR HOST

WELCOME FROM ICT ROLLER GIRLS Welcome to Wichita, “Air Capital of the World” and home of the ICT Roller Girls! We are eager to show you some midwestern hospitality. ICT Roller Girls is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this year, and we cannot think of a better way to celebrate. Hosting a WFTDA Playoff Tournament is an honor. We hope you will get a chance to enjoy our city during your stay.

ABOUT ICT ROLLER GIRLS ICT Roller Girls is a skater-owned and operated roller derby league, founded by diehard Wichitans in 2006. ICT Roller Girls joined the WFTDA in 2009, and this is the first time we have hosted a WFTDA Playoff Tournament and are honored to be given this opportunity.

From fine dining to food trucks, we have a broad selection of dining including traditional American fare and flavors from all over the world. After a long day of derby, make sure to check out some of our local breweries—try the Wizard of Hops at Central Standard Brewing or have an ICT IPA at the Hopping Gnome! Don’t miss Old Town in downtown Wichita—our brick-lined streets are sought out for restaurants, bars, clubs, shops, theaters, galleries, and museums!

ICT is here to serve you should you need anything, so find one of the ICT volunteers if you have any questions.
