Stuff.Co.Ncstuff.Co.Nc Features Dr. De Amber Heard is the most mathematically beautiful woman Last updated 12:03, July 18 2016 14 JULIAN DE SILVA All those lines add up to a 91 per cent perfect score for Amber Heard. We don't think you really need a scientist to tell you that Amber Heard is gorgeous, but that's exactly what's happened. According to Dr Julian De Silva, of London's Centre for Advanced Facial Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery, Heard's features fit the golden ratio of 1.618. You might remember that number, also known as Phi, from the four art history classes you actually attended in high school. As the name suggests, it dates back to Ancient Greece. JULIAN DE SILVA Emily Ratajkowski is also pretty up there, according to De Silva's study. "The Greeks discovered that the ratio occurs everywhere in nature and for thousands of years it has been thought to hold the secret formula of the world's most beautiful faces," Us Magazine quotes De Silva. We're sorry if there's a hint of sarcasm coming through here, but come on. How are your ratios, De Silva? "The Phi ratio of 1.618 has long been thought to hold the secret for beauty, but now with the computer mapping we can calculate how it applies to real women," he said. According to his calculations, Heard's face is the most aesthetically pleasing. Ad Feedback "[Her]eyes, eyebrows, nose, lips, chin, jaw and facial shape were measured and 12 key marker points were analysed and found to be 91.85 per cent of the Greek ratio of Phi, which is 1.618," Us Magazine quotes the study. Other notable faces in the top 10 include Kate Moss, Emily Ratajkowski and both Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner. But despite this gloomy prospect, and the threats of dementia, immobility and incontinence that hang over us all, there is the surprising discovery that the old are generally happier than the young. According to a survey by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), old people are happier because they value their friends more and tend to feel more part of their community. • Emily Ratajkowski on Why No-One Should Police Your Body
Exclusive: Emily Ratajkowski On Why No-One Should Police Your Body She found fame dancing half-naked in a music video, but has gone on to carve out a credible acting career. When it comes to Emily Ratajkowski, the biggest mistake would be to underestimate her... By Katie Glass 9 October 2010 PHOTO CREDIT: SIMON EMMETT Like most people, I first noticed Emily Ratajkowski in Robin Thicke’s Blurred Lines video, the uncensored version of which features her dancing naked except for a flesh-coloured G-string. Later, she played a busty schoolgirl in Gone Girl. Her career since has featured many half-naked Instagram pics. All of which is why Piers Morgan has written her off as a ‘global bimbo’, sniping that her feminism would make Emmeline Pankhurst turn in her grave. It’s lucky, then, that I don’t judge women by what Piers Morgan thinks of them. Look harder, and there have always been clear signs that there’s far more to Emily than her body. She is politically engaged – supporting Bernie Sanders and a radical left; campaigning for Planned Parenthood. Her performance in upcoming ’80s-set romcom Cruise has been hailed as ‘superb’ by critics. Emily is mid-shoot when I arrive. She is head-turningly beautiful – long limbs, delicate features, pooling brown eyes. As interesting, watching her, is how aware of her body she is, studying the photographer’s images, considering her angles, the jut of her hip. Before Emily, 27, was a model, she studied history of art. Now, she says – settling down, swaddled in a giant white robe – she enjoys the way Instagram allows her to marry curating and art-directing.
