Zoological Studies 47(4): 481-494. Molluscs from the gastropod family Neritidae are primarily found in marine habitats, but they are also known from brackish and freshwater systems. In Singapore, there is a paucity of information on the diversity of Neritids in all 3 aquatic environments. Herein, we provide taxonomic descriptions and distributional data for locally occurring Neritids. I make some key observations about the modern practices and identity of a group of Muslims in Malaysia who can be seen to form a particular subset of their Seletar ethnic group. This is discussed in the context of the ongoing debate and contestation of Muslim / Malay and bumiputera identity and status. The article examines how these Muslim Orang Asli appear to negotiate their Muslim identity in relation to their Seletar identity and how they still subscribe to being Seletar in terms of language and specific aspects of culture which remain important to them. The re-search draws conclusions about how their agency in their chosen hybridity of cultural practice and religion provides a kind of emblematic model highlighting the potential multiplicity in Malaysian bumiputera indigineity (or Malayness).

The list includes some doubtful records from the literature and gives correct identifications of misidentified Singapore species wherever possible. A total of 149 gobioid species are now known from Singapore, including several of dubious identity. Of these, 37 have not been recently reported nor found in recent collections from the island, possibly due to habitat changes. Nine species of gobioid fishes are recorded from Singapore for the first time. KEY WORDS. – Singapore, Gobioidei, Gobiidae, Eleotridae, Microdesmidae, checklist. • Spatial Super-Spreaders and Super-Susceptibles in Human Movement Networks
www.nature.com/scientificreports OPEN Spatial super‑spreaders and super‑susceptibles in human movement networks Wei Chien Benny Chin1,2 & Roland Boufanais1,2* As lockdowns and stay‑at‑home orders start to be lifted across the globe, governments are struggling to establish efective and practical guidelines to reopen their economies. In dense urban environments with people returning to work and public transportation resuming full capacity, enforcing strict social distancing measures will be extremely challenging, if not practically impossible. Governments are thus paying close attention to particular locations that may become the next cluster of disease spreading. Indeed, certain places, like some people, can be “super‑spreaders”. Is a bustling train station in a central business district more or less susceptible and vulnerable as compared to teeming bus interchanges in the suburbs? Here, we propose a quantitative and systematic framework to identify spatial super‑spreaders and the novel concept of super‑susceptibles, i.e. respectively, places most likely to contribute to disease spread or to people contracting it. Our proposed data‑analytic framework is based on the daily‑aggregated ridership data of public transport in Singapore. By constructing the directed and weighted human movement networks and integrating human fow intensity with two neighborhood diversity metrics, we are able to pinpoint super‑spreader and super‑ susceptible locations. Our results reveal that most super‑spreaders are also super‑susceptibles and that counterintuitively, busy peripheral bus interchanges are riskier places than crowded central train stations. Our analysis is based on data from Singapore, but can be readily adapted and extended for any other major urban center.
