Continue If you wanted to check out a small film adaptation of Stephen King's Mr. Mercedes trilogy, but couldn't figure out what the hell the network's now defunct ATT was, well, the good news this week is that it's soon coming to Peacock. From acclaimed executive producer David E. Kelly and director Jack Bender, Seasons One and Two of the Crime Thriller drama series will fall exclusively on Peacock on October 15. Peacock is an NBCUniversal free, ad-supported streaming service. Based on the New York Times bestselling Bill Hodges trilogy (Mr. Mercedes, Finders Keepers, and End Watch) by Stephen King, Mr. Mercedes follows a retired detective who torments a serial killer (Brady Hartsfield, aka Mr. Mercedes) through a series of emails and emails, forcing him to embark on a dangerous and potentially criminal crusade to protect his loved ones. The series stars Brendan Gleeson, Harry Treadway, Kelly Lynch, Jarrell Jerome, Mary-Louise Parker, Holland Taylor, Justin Lupe, Breeda Wool, Scott Lawrence, Ann Cusack, Jack Houston, Tessa Ferrer, Maximiliano Hernandez and Nancy Travis. David E. Kelly and Dennis Lehane wrote and executive produced seasons one and two along with Stephen King. Jack Bender serves as director and executive producer. Mr. MercedesPeaccockStephen King Season 1 and Season 2 Mr. Mercedes, based on three popular Stephen King novels, can be found on the free streaming service Hoopla. The show's home, Audience Network, was killed in May as part of an effort to promote HBO Max. Season 3 Mr. Mercedes is available on DIRECTV, but nowhere else at the moment. When WarnerMedia announced the dissolution of The Audience Network in May, fans of Mr. Mercedes's hit show were left off a cliff. Where can I watch Mr. Mercedes? Will season 4? Six months later, the first two seasons are on the free streaming service Hoopla. But Season 3 is in limbo for cord cutters because it remains exclusive to DIRECTV. The ousting of three top executives announced over the weekend at WarnerMedia could make the wait to stream Mr. Mercedes's third season much longer. The fate of Mr. Mercedes and three other original shows, Condor, Loudermilk and You Me Her, rested with Bob Greenblatt. He is stepping down as chairman of Warner Media Entertainment as part of a shake-up reported by The New York Times. Greenblatt's responsibilities take on Ann Sarnoff, ceo of Warner Bros., and Andy Forssell, general manager of HBO Max. The pair have been accused of growing HBO Max, so it's hard to imagine a critically rated show on the dead network would rank high among its priorities. At the same time, networks and streaming services are recycling old shows and movies, and are starving for new content. CoVID-19 Pandemic brought production to a standstill. Where to watch Season 3 Mr. Mercedes Series Mr. Mercedes has been a hit for ATT just as he is pushing into the original content and streaming market with DIRECTV now. This streaming service was eventually re-branded in ATT TV now. In January, there was talk of a show from the audience network moving to HBO Max, but it didn't seem to have happened yet. So you're not going to find it on Hulu or Netflix anytime soon. As The Stream Mr. Mercedes Is Free You Can Stream Season 1 and Season 2 for free on Hoopla. Hoopla's streaming service is run by local libraries. It is a little-known service in the world of streaming and cord cutting. And it's easy to sign up once you have a library card. You can stream Hoopla on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Android TV and other major streaming devices. What's Mr. Mercedes about? Two years after his retirement, homicide detective Bill Hodges just wants to relax and forget about his job. But one thing is still haunting him. A driver who ploughed a stolen Mercedes into a queue of people waiting for a job fair has never been caught. Brady Hartsfield killed eight people and injured many more. And he likes to tease Hodges that he will never get caught when he takes on an even more ambitious plan for mass murder. Determined to act, Hodges undertakes a secret crusade to stop Hartsfield's last plan and bring the killer to justice. Harry Treadway plays Brady Hartsfield in the new series of Mr. Mercedes. Stephen King describes Mr. Mercedes as his first hard-boiled detective tale. The novel was published by Scribner in June 2014 and immediately became the New York Times' No 1 bestseller after its release. Shortly after the novel was published, King announced that Mr. Mercedes was the first of the projected trilogy. A second novel, The Searchers, was published by Scribner in June 2015, and the third novel, The End of the Watch, was published by Scribner in June 2016. David Kelly wrote and adapted King's novel for television. You can learn Kelly's name because of his network hits such as Boston Legal and Ally McBeal. Kelly had some big hits with the show, made exclusively for premium networks. He created the HBO miniseries Big Little Lies and the excellent SERIES Goliath for Amazon Video. Who's in the series? It's pretty much all the stars thrown. Mr. Mercedes stars Brendan Gleeson as Detective Bill Hodges. Harry Treadway plays Brady Hartsfield. Kelly Lynch as Deborah Hartsfield Jarrell Jerome (Moonlight) plays Jerome Robinson. Scott Lawrence (Avatar) - Detective Peter Dixon. You'll learn a lot more stars as soon as you start watching the series. Even if you've never read a novel, it's a great series to watch. Can I binge watch the show on Amazon Prime? If you can't get In Hoopla, Amazon is selling season 1 and Season 2 for $1.99 per episode. You can also buy the entire season for $17.99. Mr. Mercedes on Hulu? Mr. Mercedes isn't on Hulu or Netflix, and it's unlikely to go there any time soon. Given the recent shake-up of ATT, the focus of WarnerMedia is expanding HBO Max. Will Mr. Mercedes Season 4 happen? Mr. Mercedes was the show's flagship scripted on the audience network. Kelly is an extremely respected name on television, so that would tip in favor of season 4 going on. The series already has a huge number of fans of royal novels and TV series. But Kelly and the actors involved in the series should have a schedule that aligns for season 4 to happen. And there is always a global slowdown in production and filming due to COVID-19. Let's hope that some news will appear in 2020. Mr. Mercedes is an intense series based on the novel by Stephen King; That's where it can be found online and is it on Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Prime? Where is Stephen King's adaptation of Mr. Mercedes to watch online and is it on Netflix, Hulu or Prime? Stephen King is one of the most adapted authors of all time, with the vast majority of his novels getting a film or TV version. Some of the most famous films based on his work include The Shining - although the author himself famously expressed disgust at the 1980 film - Shawshank Redemption and The Fog. The King himself once stepped behind the camera in the 1986 Maximum Overdrive, which was a huge mess but gained a cult following. Some of Stephen King's novels are sprawling behemoths that are hard to reduce to the length of the film. Some are better suited to mini-series or form series, with some of the best examples being Lot Salem from director Tobe Hooper, Castle Rock and Underrated Storm Of The Century. This does not mean that they all work, however, with adaptation under the dome considered hopeless. Continue scrolling to continue reading Click below to start this article in a quick submission. Start now Mr. Mercedes is a 2014 Stephen King novel that saw a retired detective named Bill Hodges tormented by a serial killer named Brady Hartsfield, who is also known for his alter ego Mr. Mercedes. He drove a Mercedes into a group of people, and the case, which was one of Hodges' last before his retirement, was not disclosed. The pair will soon battle in a trilogy of books. The audience adapted Mr. Mercedes, the ebb of the great Brendan Gleeson and Harry Treduay as Hodges and Brady respectively. Serial the show is not currently not stream from Netflix, Hulu or Amazon Prime in the U.S., according to JustWatch. Instead, the first two seasons of Mr. Mercedes can be found on hoopla. The show is also available for purchase on platforms such as iTunes, Google Play, Vudu and Amazon. For the most part, all three seasons Mr. Mercedes received excellent reviews and the show is considered one of the strongest television adaptations of King's work to date. Unfortunately, it seems there will be a fourth season of Mr. Mercedes as the audience network was closed in early 2020. While it's possible he could return for another season if he gets picked up by another network or platform, there's no sign the series is going on. The show also featured a cameo appearance by Stephen King during the first season, where he didn't fare well in one of Brady's gory dreams. (Read what we thought of it.) But while much of the time of the king of horror on TV has come through air and cable channels, that's not the case with Mr. Mercedes, and if you were interested in finding it, watch no further than the network's audience. An intense and gripping crime drama that earns its share of laughter (both good-natured and gallows-esque), Mr. Mercedes fits perfectly into the other original scripts of the Audience Network series - which includes the drama Kingdom, Ice and Rogue, among others - and, hopefully, a sign that come from a less-mentioned outlet. The network's audience is not currently available to anyone with a cable/satellite subscription, as it is the property of ATT, and thus exclusively for customers of DirecTV and DirecTV Now, as well as those who use ATST U-verse. So it's like a high-profile drama from Netflix and Amazon, as it's as much a carrot to hang out in front of potential customers as it is a prize for those who've signed up. Admittedly, it takes much more than just one TV show to get people to upend any television service (s) they're tied to, but Mr. Mercedes certainly has the kind of show that can lead to such upending. And guess what? The network's audience knows no one likes to blindly go into this kind of making, so he put up the first two Mr. Mercedes episodes for those who watch FREE, without having to buy into anything. It's pretty awesome as the second episode doesn't even air More. Admittedly, it takes much more than just one TV show to get people to upend any television service (s) they're tied to, but Mr. Mercedes certainly has the kind of show that can lead to such upending. Based on Stephen King's trilogy, starting in 2014, Mr. Mercedes features a deliberately stereotypical setting that gets pulled apart, with the ever-stoic Brendan Gleeson depicting liquor-loving Bill Hodges, a former detective who was brought to retirement on an unsolved case. The crime in question is that someone was driving the title car into a crowd of people, and the sick bastard behind the murders doesn't want to let Hodges forget that justice hasn't been done. History does not put the audience in Hodges' place as far as keeping the killer of an unknown entity. No, Mr. Mercedes introduces everyone to the mentally unstable Brady Hartsfield of Harry Treadaway, an electronics whose upbringing seemed individual to bring pain to others. He lives a migraine-filled life with his mother, played by Kelly Lynch, and their relationship... unique, to say the least. This tale of cat-and-mouse actually works like a cat and cat story, with every person seeing who can break the other first, with Brady often riding. While Brendan Gleeson and Harry Treadaway will be a solid enough draw for Mr. Mercedes, the show is as stocked with talent as any of the network's original audience series, both on screen and behind the scenes. It was designed for television by Ellie McBean and Boston legal maestro David E. Kelly, and the series also stars names such as Weeds vet Mary-Louise Parker, Crystal Justin Lupe, Moonlight Jharrel Jerome, Jag Scott Lawrence, two-and-a-half men Holland Taylor, UnReal in Breeda and Dennis The Menace. While the Dark Tower's long and winding road to feature films might not have been worth waiting for all the fans - something that apparently hasn't eliminated people's hunger for the TV show Dark Tower - there's no shortage of adaptations of Stephen King on the horizon, from Mike Flanagan's play Gerald for Netflix and Andres Muschetti's theatrical take on Terror. (We're especially excited for Hulu's Castle Rock, too.) But while none of these projects are here just yet, Mr. Mercedes arrived last week and he's willing to drive you crazy with the unknown in just one place. Tune in to the audience network every Wednesday night at 8pm ET and you'll be tuned to one of the best new TV dramas of 2017. Or, if you're not a customer yet, go check out these first two episodes for free and you can get a peek at what to expect on the trailer for the next page.
