The original series Lepidoptera. Since ATL took over the series, several families completed a large number of families between 1911 and 1939, have been readied for publication. Already this month, Fascicle totalling about 3 shelf-feet of text. Most Microlepidoptera, 48, on Epermeniidae, was published (authored by R. Gaedike, of however, were not covered, as also several macro families like the Deutsches Entomologisches Institut, Eberswalde, Germany). Noctuidae, and several families are incomplete (e.g., Geometridae In 1997, several other smaller families are expected, including and Pyralidae). Even for what was treated, the older catalogs are Acanthopteroctetidae (Davis), Acrolepiidae (Gaedike), Cecidosi now greatly out of date, due to the description of many new dae (Davis), Cercophanidae (Becker), Glyphipterigidae (Heppner), species and many changes in nomenclature over the last 5 to 8 Neotheoridae (Kristensen), Ochsenheimeriidae (Davis), Opostegi decades. dae (Davis), and Oxytenidae (Becker). Much of the publication The new series resembles the old series in some ways but it schedule depends on the cooperation of various specialists who will also have features not found in the old work.

INTRODUCTION The fauna of noctuoid moths (the families Erebidae and Noctuidae) of Kazakhstan is still poorly studied. Only the fauna of West Kazakhstan has been studied satisfactorily (Gorbunov 2011). On the faunas of other parts of the country, only fragmentary data are published (Lederer, 1853; 1855; Aibasov & Zhdanko 1982; Hacker & Peks 1990; Lehmann et al. 1998; Benedek & Bálint 2009; 2013; Korb 2013). In contrast to the West Kazakhstan, the fauna of noctuid moths of East Kazakhstan was studied inadequately.

Abstract: The Lepidoptera fauna in the Külső-Somogy region (Somogy County) in southwestern Hungary is generally under-recorded, despite the fact that the area hosts a diverse landscape and a wide range of natural and semi-natural habitats. As part of the landscape-scale habitat rehabilitation program the authors conducted a series of surveys on the butterfly and macro moth fauna (Rhopalocera and Macroheterocera) of the Koppány valley between the villages Somogydöröcske and Gerézdpuszta in 2010 including the catchment area and the floodland of the stream Koppány. In total 192 species were recorded between April and October. The Lepidoptera fauna is characterized by species associated with wet habitats near the stream (Lycaena dispar rutilus, Chariaspilates formosaria), but is also influenced by the warm broad-leaved woodlands and orchards that surrounds the valley (Meganephria bimaculosa). The change of land-use in the study area threatens the butterfly fauna through the intensification of agriculture (application of pesticides), and the complete cessation of animal husbandry. Keywords: Lepidoptera, butterflies, macro moths, Koppány valley, Hungary, land-use.

A total of 166 species of Macrolepidoptera could be recorded, among them 21 species new for Jordan. Desertobia heloxylonia lawrencei subsp. n. is described. The female genitalia of Odontopera jordanaria (STAUDINGER, 1898) comb. n., are figured for the first time. The larvae of Odontopera jordanaria STAUDINGER, 1898, Minucia wiskotti (PÜNGELER, 1902), Allophyes benedictina (STAUDINGER, 1892), Agrochola pauli (STAUDINGER, 1892), Agrochola scabra (STAUDINGER, 1892), Agrochola staudingeri RONKAY, 1984, Conistra acutula (STAUDINGER, 1892), Polymixis apora (STAUDINGER, 1898) and Polymixis juditha (STAUDINGER, 1898) are described and figured. Introduction Our knowledge of the winter aspect of the macrolepidoptera fauna of the southwestern Palaearctic region is still lower compared to other seasons. It has been shown during expeditions that in countries with subtropical- mediterranean climate an interesting macrolepidoptera fauna with numerous poorly known or even new species could be ascertained, in the eremic as well as in the steppe and mediterranean zone. The focus of this communication is on the Noctuidae family, because Noctuid species dominate the species composition in winter (e.g.

  • Brevi Note Su Philereme Transversata (Hfn.), Polymixis Polymita (L.), Spoladea Recurvalis (F.) E Cydalima Perspectalis (Walk.)
Quaderno di Studi e Notizie di Storia Naturale della Romagna Quad. Studi Nat. Abstract [Remarks on the findings of Philereme transversata (Hfn.), Polymixis polymita (L.), Spoladea recurvalis (F.) and Cydalima perspectalis (Walk.) in Romagna] The authors report some records in 2011 and 2013 of three moths new to Romagna territory: the geometrid Philereme transversata (Hufnagel, 1767), the noctuid Polymixis (Polymixis) polymita (Linnaeus, 1761) and the crambid Spoladea (=Hymenia) recurvalis (Fabricius, 1775), a migrant species very dangerous to many tropical crops, new for the Emilia-Romagna region, being also the first record north of Apennines.
