Remarks as prepared for delivery by The Honorable Dan Coats Director of National Intelligence Annual Threat Assessment Opening Statement Tuesday, January 29, 2019 Chairman Burr, Vice-Chairman Warner, and Members of the Committee... I am here today, along with leaders of the Intelligence Community, to provide you an overview of the national security threats facing our nation. But before I do, I would like to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the men and women that make up the Intelligence Community. Their efforts rarely receive public recognition because of the nature of the work that they do. But their unheralded contributions play a critical role in the national security of our great nation, and I am proud to represent them. 1 Annual Threat Assessment, January 29, 2019 I also want to express on behalf of the entire IC our appreciation to the members of this committee. The Intelligence Community appreciates your support and values our partnership. As I stated in my recent remarks during the release of the National Intelligence Strategy, we face significant changes in the domestic and global 2 Annual Threat Assessment, January 29, 2019 environment that have resulted in an increasingly complex and uncertain world, and we must be ready to meet 21st century challenges and recognize emerging threats.

http://www.clearcreekrw.org/ P.O. Box 2171 League City, Tx 77454 Political Advertising paid for by Clear Creek Republican Women Happy New Year! I hope everyone welcomed the New '20s decade with a BANG! As Republicans, we have talked about 2020 for a long time. We must be bold and get the word out about how important the 2020 Election will be for Texas and our nation. Now is the time to come together. We can no longer stand around the water cooler and just talk about politics. We have work to do by helping our Republican Candidates at the grass roots level. We are hopeful to keep Texas and the White House Red. In pop culture, every new decade throughout time brings us new trends and integral turning points of history. In the 80's it was BIG hair. The 90's rocked on with the “Grunge” era. The 2000's was the dawn of social media and the 2010's brought us the coveted iPhone. I hope when we look back at the '20's it will trend a sea of Red in the state of Texas and Red in Washington DC. Our nation as we have known it is in jeopardy. The conservative point of view has gradually evolved and not for the better. It should concern us all greatly if Blue becomes the majority. As Republicans, we must be united and fight fiercely to hold true to our values. My hope is that everyone in our club will commit to having a positive effect on a Republican candidate's campaign.
