COUNTING OUR BLESSINGS CAPITAL CAMPAIGN UPDATE: Fr. Dave and the parish staff would like to extend a big THANK-YOU to the parishioners of St. Pius X for all of the support for the “Continuing To Renew All Things in Christ” Capital WALKING WITH PURPOSE is a Catholic Bible study that Campaign. With your continued support, prayer and effort, aims to bring women to a deeper, personal relationship with we are confident we can reach our goal. Christ through personal study and small group discussions that link our everyday challenges with solutions given to us through the teachings of Christ and the Catholic Church. The Walking with Purpose parish program at St. Pius IN OUR PARISH X is offering a repeat session this fall for Opening Your Heart. This foundational, 22-week Bible study is designed for women who are new to WWP or would like to repeat RECTORY SUMMER HOURS: The Rectory will be closed on it. SODA POP SUNDAY: The Festival committee is inviting everyone to donate a case of 12 oz. cans of soda or a case of 16 oz. bottles of water to the Festival. Donate your favorite flavor. This has been very successful the past few years and has helped eliminate our drink purchases and contributed to the financial success of the festival! Collections will take place on July 6/7 and July 20/21 before and after all Masses. We are requesting 12 oz. cans only please. Thanks for helping support our parish! SILENT AUCTION AND WINE TOSS…CAN YOU HELP????? St. Pius Children’s Center’s preschool and Pre-K hosts the silent auction at the annual parish festival. Please consider donating a NEW (NEVER USED) item for bidding. We gratefully accept small items like gift cards, or large items like a weekend getaway, handyman services, OSU football tickets, and everything in between! Use your imagination. Come find us in the New Monsignor Funk Parish Center, where you can try your hand at the wine/ ring toss and bid on some fabulous gift baskets at the festival! 2019 PARISH FESTIVAL PIE BAKING CONTEST: Dust off your rolling pins and perfect your flavorful fillings for the “2019 SPX Pam Briggs Memorial Pie Baking Contest.” This year’s event will feature 2 Divisions: “Junior” – contestants 14 and under, and “Best Bakers” – for everyone else. Junior bakers are free to use their favorite fillings and crusts. Best Bakers will be divided into four categories according to homemade fillings – Fruit, Cream, Custard (contains eggs), and Other. All bakers are encouraged to use homemade crusts that complement their creations. Pick up registration forms and information at the SPX Festival Volunteer Sign-Ups on July 6th and 7th.
