Since 2010 Wasatch County has increased by 9,000 residents. This year we saw a marked increase in participation and benefit of the program. Each 260 month five to eight businesses gather at the chamber building to learn about their membership benefits and to have a hyper-networking session with the MEMBERS other participants. Through this program, our members have created new partnerships, found new clients, and have maximized their chamber benefits. We look to continue this program into 2020. MONTHLY LUNCHES Each month, members of the Heber Valley Chamber gather for lunch, networking, and professional development opportunities. In 2019, our lunch topics included Mayor Potter’s State of the City address, Dr. Susan Madsen professor and women’s leadership expert, leadership lessons from Ryan Starks, and our first-ever Business to Business Expo. HEBER VALLEY GOLF TOURNAMENT Our annual golf tournament continues to be one of the most OVER $15,000 RAISED exciting, performing events the chamber hosts each year, and 2019 was no exception. Returning to the Soldier Hollow Golf Course, the tournament was our most significant in participation-to-date with nearly 144 golfers and over $15,000 raised thanks to sponsors, prize donations, and more. AS HEBER VALLEY’S PREMIER NETWORKING ORGANIZATION, THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HAS CREATED PROGRAMS FOR BUSINESSES TO GET INVOLVED WITH THE COMMUNITY AND TO CONNECT WITH OTHER BUSINESSES. MIDWAY CITY WAYFINDING PROJECT During the summer of 2019, the chamber completed phase one of our $25K wayfinding sign plan with the installation of dozens of signs in the Heber City area. These signs help direct residents and visitors to public spaces DONATED and attractions in Heber City. Phase two of the project is to expand the sign program into Midway City. Well planned trail networks are also an integral part of a complete transportation system. The integration of non-motorized active transportation in a community aids in reducing traffic congestion, air pollution, and energy consumption, while also helping to improve the health and quality for life of residents and communities. An active lifestyle is a primary component in the allure of Wasatch County to many new residents.     Exhibit C 2018 Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay Analysis Event Description The 2018 Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay is a 200 mile race, run by teams of 12 runners that starts in Logan, Utah and finishes in Kamas, Utah, June 1 -2, 2018. The Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay has had a long history in Park City. Park City hosted both the start and finish of the race at several locations including Deer Valley, Park City Mountain Resort and the Park City School District - Kearns Campus from 2008 to 2014. In 2015, 2016 and 2017 the race course was changed and only came through Park City and the City did not host the start or finish. This year’s race course has changed once again to lessen impacts, and will enter Park City on June 2, 2018 during the hours of 3:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Significant Changes: There are significant changes to the race course of the 2018 Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay, including a course change and parking removals. According to Municipal Code 4A-2-3C staff must return to City Council for permit renewals where material elements of the event have substantially changed from the previous application. Race Course: Runners: The course comes into Park City via the paved Silver Quinn trail from Summit County (Silver Summit) to the Park City Sports Complex for a minor exchange. Then travels south along Park City Parkway, under UT248 and east along Richardson Flat Road to the Richardson Flat Park and Ride lot for a major exchange. The race then continues East along Richardson Flat Road and out of Park City.
