GLASG 1)W. l!T PREFATORY NOTE AFTER the publication of the Records of the Clan ancl Narne of Fergiisson, Ferguson, and Fergus in 1895, the Editors received a number of communications from persons of the name resident in Canada, the United States, and elsewhere. There also reached them a considerable amount of additional information, illustrating the earlier history of the Clan, and indicating the common origin of various families. The discovery of papers at Pitfour a year after the book came out was followed by the appearance of His Grace the Duke of Atholl's Chronicles of the Fa1nilies of .Atholl and Tulliebardine, which gives many interesting particulars about the Olan in Athole, while the Editors have been placed in communication with the representa tives of other families, who had been unaware of, or omitted to contribute to the original volume. Ultimately in the spring of 1898 the Clan Fergusson Society authorised the preparation and publication of the present supplemen tary volume. The Editors have, as on the previous occasion, en deavoured to supply notices of the families dealt with from the pen of a member of the particular family. -

King,” numbered “58” within the plate, top right The National Army Museum, which also has this image of the Coldstream Guards, comments on the presence of the three African or Caribbean Musicians in ceremonial dress and “splendid turbans,” and that many such musicians were recruited into the British Army in the 18th century, and that they also had an important role on the battlefield, by communicating orders via their instruments. -

ISSUES RAISED IN RESPONSE TO THE PROPOSED LOCAL DEVELOPMENT PLAN AND PROPOSED SUBMISSION TO SCOTTISH MINISTERS APPENDIX 2 SETTLEMENT COMMENTS Shaping Buchan – Summary of Schedule 4s Minor technical changes are also proposed to improve the accuracy of information now provided by Scottish Water and SEPA (see Schedule 4 7908). “Schedule 4” documents (so named because of the requirement to follow the form specified by Schedule 4 of the relevant Regulations) have not been produced for those settlements where there have been no representations. Ardallie Main objections raised in representation Number of planned units on site OP1 should be reduced to take into account already submitted proposals. Development of site OP1 should include road upgrades. Response by Planning Authority The approved houses on site OP1 would take up part of the allocation, and no change is required. Upgrading the existing road to an adoptable standard is already required by the development brief. The section of private road heading east from site OP1 is not required to link the site to the public road network so it is not appropriate to require its upgrading. Minor technical change Remove the settlement boundary annotation (which only covers the allocated, protected and reserved sites), for consistency. Auchnagatt Main objections raised in representation Amend OP2 reference to strategic landscaping or extend site OP2 further south to the minor watercourse, so that strategic landscaping can be implemented outwith the allocated area. Response by Planning Authority The reference to strategic landscaping is only a recommendation – the most appropriate position and nature of strategic landscaping would be determined at the planning application stage. -

A SFRA involves the collection, analysis and presentation of existing and readily available flood risk information (from any source) for the area of interest. It constitutes a strategic overview of flood risk, without necessarily meeting the reporting requirements of a detailed Flood Risk Assessment and has been executed as a desk top study. However, in some instances, greater detail may be required (if appropriate) to inform the Strategic Development Plan. Part of a SFRA could be the identification of priority areas for more detailed analysis. Sources of information on SFRA for the Main Issues Report came from Appendix 1 of the Technical Flood Risk Guidance for Stakeholders which was produced by SEPA. This has now been superseded by new Technical Guidance to support Development Planning which was issued by SEPA in June 2012. -

The double link charges of Crimond and Lonmay are located in the Buchan area of Aberdeenshire in the northeast of Scotland About Us Our last Minister tragically died ‘in post’. Since that time we have been subject to a number of changes with linked charges. Due to the tremendous dedication and hard work of our Kirk Session, Board and members, we have continued to maintain a Christian witness in this parish. During that time we have been assisted and supported by many individuals who have advised and encouraged us. In September 2011 a Locum was appointed. This has brought stability and consistency. We have been able to produce an Action Plan which has seen a number of developments within the life of the Church and we continue to work together as a team. We look forward to working with a Minister sharing together in the Lord’s service. Aberdeenshire Visitor Management Plan 2021 Overview This Plan is an Aberdeenshire wide plan for re-opening the countryside through the easing of lockdown under the terms of the Scottish Government’s COVID-19 Routemap. The plan ties in with specific plans put in place by individual landowners and Cairngorms National Park Authority. Aberdeenshire Council is working under the official guidance and documentation published by the Scottish Government. The council is working in partnership with partners, stakeholders, businesses and communities in relation to COVID-19.
