The Great Lakes Folk Festival is much more than music but with 14 acts perform- ing over three days on three stages – all free – there is plenty of that, too! Listen and dance to music that includes Celtic, bluegrass, gospel, polka, Zydeco, Dominican Merengue, Ethiopian, Armenian, Indian and more! The rich cultural diversity of the festival sets it apart from others, with traditional arts exhibits, a community sing, a musician’s jam and children’s activities. WKAR will be introducing acts at the Dance Tent, located in the Albert Street lot. Check schedules online at Greatlakesfolkfest.net or follow GLFF on Facebook and Twitter.

WKAR will be at the Old Town Lansing JazzFest and at the MSU Museum’s Great Lakes Folk Festival this month. Look for the WKAR Street Team or tent and say hello!
