TRAVEL INFORMATION TO DEER ISLAND, NEW BRUNSWICK, CANADA Drive Times from the North From Fredericton – 2 hours From St. John – 1 hour From St. Andrews – 45 minutes From St. Stephen (Calais, Maine, U.S.A.) – 45 minutes L’ETETE FERRY CROSSING ON MAINLAND OF NB Take Highway 1 to St. George Two exits you can choose go to St. George/Deer Island: • Exit 56 is BEST as it bypasses downtown St. George • Exit 52 takes you through downtown St. George, but is still OK to use Follow signs to the Deer Island Ferry in L’Etete. Enjoy the free 20-minute ferry ride to Deer Island. See ferry schedule link for times: http://www.gnb.ca/0113/ferries/ferries-e.asp Once you arrive on Deer Island 1. The ferry lands at Butler’s Point. From there, it is only a 10-minute drive to Seascape and there are blue and white Seascape signs leading the way. 2. Drive on the main road and bear left at the first Seascape sign towards Richardson’s Wharf. 3. After a few minutes, you will see a large Seascape sign and a yellow vertical kayak near a large pond. 4. Turn left at the sign / kayak onto Northwest Harbour Branch Road. 5. Turn left immediately onto Northwest Harbour Branch Road and veer right. 6. This road comes to a dead end at the Seascape Shop. EAST COAST FERRY CROSSINGS From June to September, you can cross from Campobello Island, NB (Canada) or Eastport, ME (US), whichever is closer to your point of departure. See ferry schedule link for times and prices: http://www.eastcoastferries.nb.ca/timetables.htm Once you arrive on Deer Island 1. The ferries land at Deer Island Point, the southern tip of the island. From there, it is only a 15-minute drive to Seascape and there are blue and white Seascape signs leading the way. 2. Start driving and you will come to a stop. Right will take you towards Leonardville and left will take you towards Fairhaven, where gas station and restaurants are available. Either option is fine. Once you encounter a sign saying “to St. George,” continue in that direction as this is the main road, which leads to the ferry service to the mainland at Butler’s Point. 3.
