FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Sonia Leigh to open for TRAIN at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open Local Drummer to Play for his Hometown ENDICOTT N.Y. – The Dick’s Sporting Goods Open is pleased to announce the opening act for the Tournament’s Friday Night Concert featuring Train – up and coming Country Superstar Sonia Leigh. Leigh has been touring with and opening for the Zac Brown Band, one of country’s biggest acts, and is signed on Brown’s Southern Ground record label. We are especially pleased to welcome Endicott native Mike Rizzi, drummer in Sonia Leigh’s band. This will be the first performance for Rizzi in his hometown, playing for friends and family. “Sonia is very talented and the energy that the band has will make her the ideal opening act for Train,” said Tournament Director John Karedes. The Dick’s Sporting Goods Open is a Champions Tour Event that is traditionally contested in June. It will be played this year in August to allow the En-Joie Golf Course more time to recover from the devastating floods that affected our region last September.
