Terry Sherin Sales Representative 905-727-3154 [email protected] UP, UP AND AWAY – Aurorans came together on Saturday night for a Santa Under the Stars parade to remember. Traditionally, in the lead-up to the holiday season, Santa Claus makes his way down Yonge Street where he is greeted by thousands of residents lining the route. This year, due to the global pandemic, parade-goers came to him as he hosted a “stationary” parade at the Aurora Family Leisure Complex. For full coverage of the Santa Under the Stars parade, as well as this weekend’s Christmas Market at Town Park, see Pages 18 and 19. Auroran photos by Glenn Rodger 94-year-old man first Auroran

WE DON’T BREW OUR BEER FOR THE AWARDS.

BUT HE DOES!

Our brewmaster, Andrew Kohnen, threw away a successful career in logistics to pursue his dream of reconnecting with the brewing roots of his family. This carried him to the UK’s prestigious Brewlab in Sunderland, England, where he procured the alchemy that would drive his signature brewing style.

He took what he could from there and ventured to Scotland, Cornwall, and ultimately to Krefeld, Germany, working in the same brewery that had belonged to his ancestors. He came home to Canada for Hockley. You could call it dumb, but we call it destiny.

Due to the global pandemic, gone was the sit-down meal featuring an array of scratch-made soups from local chefs.
