If you want items about your club in this section, please send your newsletter or items to Kim Ellaway. Sunnybank Sunnybank Bridge Club celebrated its 30th birthday on Saturday 7th May 2011. The event was well attended with 21 tables in play. Members enjoyed afternoon tea and were entertained with a Power Point Presentation showcasing the club’s 11 years in its own club house. Following play, members and their non-playing partners were invited to a BBQ and drinks in the gardens. Toowoomba Seventy-six players took part in the Toowoomba Novice Pairs competition at Toowoomba Bridge Club on Sunday Sunnybank players: Narelle Close, David Utting, John Moore, Rita Moore, March 27 2011. Charles Bagley, Ken Robinson (President), Di Robinson, Winners of the open section of the Neville McDonnell, & Anne Lovett (Secretary) competition were Graham and Marilyn Klupfel (Brisbane); second were Donald Lewis and Joanne Sinclair (also of Brisbane) with Toowoomba couple Floyd and Majella Wilson in third place. Warwick $5,337 has been received for Bridgemates and an upgrade to its computer from the Gambling Community Fund. Tully $6,000 has been received from the Gambling Community Fund for the purchase of a dealing machine and equipment, and $4,000 from Reef Hotel Casino Community Benefit Fund for the purchase of Bridgemates.
