Samplings were collected from each lake in May 2017 and July 2017. The measured water quality parameters included pH, color, turbidity, alkalinity, hardness, suspended solids, Dissolved oxygen, COD, BOD ,Chloride content TDS, Total load of bacteria. From this values it is observe that the lake water is not potable, but can be used for general purpose as well as recreational purpose. Higher values were recorded after initial rains due to natural and anthropogenic sources such as run- off containing salts, land fill leachates, septic tank effluents and animal feeds is higher in first flush. It is also observed that the water turbidity, nitrate and phosphorous levels are more in all lakes. It is due to the increase of nutrient level and the water hycanith presence in the lakes. -

International Journal of Research Studies in Science, Engineering and Technology Volume 3, Issue 12, December 2016, PP 10-13 ISSN 2349-4751 (Print) & ISSN 2349-476X (Online) Current Scenario on Urban Solid Waste with Respect to Hyderabad City Srinivas Jampala1, Ashok Gellu2, Dr.D.Seshi Kala3 Department of Environmental Science, Osmania University, Hyderabad Abstract: Municipal solid waste management is one of the major environmental problems of world. Improper management of municipal solid waste causes hazards to pubic and environment. Various studies reveal that about 90% of MSW is due to improper management of open dumps and landfills, creating problems to public health and the environment. FARMERS PERCEPTIONS and PERFORMANCE of IMPROVED SORGHUM CULTIVARS in PROJECT VILLAGES: Kharif 2003
Quarter 4 Output indicator (OVI Report 3) FARMERS PERCEPTIONS AND PERFORMANCE OF IMPROVED SORGHUM CULTIVARS IN PROJECT VILLAGES: Kharif 2003. INTRODUCTION India is the second largest producer of sorghum in the world, after USA, with around 11 million ha under its cultivation. Sorghum is grown in rainy season (June-October) and in post- rainy season (September – January). The rainy season crop accounts for 37% of the total crop area and contributes 65% of the total production. The demand for rainy season sorghum grain for food use has declined over the years primarily due to increased production of rice and wheat and public policies that make rice and wheat available at subsidized price to the poor and low-income consumers. Thus, farmers are unable to sell surplus sorghum grain at remunerative prices. Further the deterioration in the apparent and actual grain quality of rainy season sorghum due to grain molds leads to large fluctuations in price ranging from 1500 to 5000t-1 compared to Rs. 6500 to 12000 t-1 for post-rainy season sorghum grain. Small-holder farmers with less than one-hectare land in the semi-arid regions grow sorghum, under subsistence farming. Sorghum production underpins their livelihood strategy to meet the twin objectives of food for humans and feed for livestock. However, after meeting their household demands, these farmers are unable to dispose off the marketable surplus due to lack of marketing networks to take advantage of the potential demand for sorghum in non- food uses. Rainy season sorghum is being used in poultry feed as a potential alternative to maize, whose production is not able to meet the present growing demand. -
Co-Living: Reshaping Rental Housing in India Co-Living: Reshaping Rental Housing in India 2 Co-Living Penetration: 3.6 Million Beds 2.6% 2018 Shared Rental Market
Co-Living Reshaping Rental Housing in India June 2019 In a global climate of ever rising costs and shrinking resources, communities and enterprises are coming together to create products and platforms that are changing how we live, work and play. Sharing resources is at the heart of most of these innovative offerings. From sharing rides and high-end equipment to sharing workplaces and even living spaces - this is truly an age of owning experiences over assets. Rapidly changing technology has disrupted much of the daily patterns of our lives today by not only breaking down traditional structures, but also creating new opportunities to fill this gap. Co-working is such an instance of innovative shared spaces in recent times, followed by the emergent segment of co-living. We believe that much as what co-working has been to the traditional office, co-living will be to the rental housing sector. Co-living is also one among the many rapidly emerging patterns of our urban life that brings with it potential business opportunities. The basic concept is hardly new. The ‘boarding houses’ of a 1940s New York City or London housed single working professionals in Preface much the same way that the ‘mess houses’ of Calcutta or ‘PG’ accommodations of Bombay did during the same years. What has changed today, however, is the emergence of purpose built co-living spaces constructed and/or managed by professional firms who increasingly perceive opportunity and healthy returns on their business investment. We live in a globally connected world and this has led to the real estate sector experiencing disruption led by Co-living is being seen as a real and present opportunity with increasing numbers of professionals as well as young families nomadic millennials, who are redefining the meaning of ‘living’ and ‘working’. -
