Our remit is to consider the postcode area of NW7 and our reading of the proposed Local Plan is in part limited to this area. Introduction: MHPS notes that the new Local Plan takes account of new national planning policy in the form of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF 2019) and a new emerging London Plan (draft 2017). Clause 1.6 Neighbourhood Plans: We are disappointed that the Council has not acknowledged the work done by the Mill Hill Neighbourhood Forum in producing and submitting a draft plan for the Mill Hill area. Section 2: Challenges and Opportunities: Clause 2.4 Environment: It is important that Barnet remains one of the greenest boroughs in London. MHPS supports green spaces and low-density suburban development that form an important element of Barnet’s character. -

The Dean of Corpus Christi College, Cambridge joined us from Maundy Thursday through to Easter Day as our preacher. Most memorably he preached the Three Hours’ devotion which was shaped around the seven last words and two Bach cello suites played live by a young student from Trinity College of Music south of the river. From the intimate drama of the foot-washing on Maundy Thursday through the sauce-pan lids banged, trumpets played and all manner of these rattled as we greeted the moment of resurrection in the Easter Vigil and First Eucharist of Easter on Holy Saturday through to the sunshine of Easter morning, the hymns that lift our minds and hearts, and the Easter egg hunt (this time in the church as the sunshine was eclipsed by rain!), it was an experience that showed the community at its best: faithful, following, fun-filled, fruitful in the Gospel. We are seeking to build from this long-nurtured spirit in a number of ways. The Bible in bits – a weekly bible study run in four or five week ‘bursts’ with a morning session attracting often 20 people, and an evening session growing towards 10 – is both a chance to grow spiritually and thrive socially. -

LONDON BOROUGH OF BARNET BYE-LAWS relating to REGULATION OF DOGS 1992 N:\Shared Documents\Byelaws\Regulation of Dogs-1992.doc - 22 October 2003 Byelaws made by the Mayor and Burgesses of the London Borough of Barnet acting by the Council under Section 164 of the Public Health Act 1875, Sections 12 and 15 of the Open Spaces Act 1906, and Section 15 of the Open Spaces Act 1906 with regard to public walks, pleasure grounds and open spaces. Extent 1. (1) Byelaw 3 applies to the public walks and pleasure grounds and open spaces or parts thereof described in Schedule 1, hereafter referred to as the “dog prohibited areas”. (2) Byelaws 4 and 5 apply to the public walks, pleasure grounds, and open spaces or parts thereof described in Schedule 2, hereafter referred to as the “canine faeces removal areas”. (3) Byelaws 6 and 7 applies to the public walks, pleasure grounds and open spaces or parts thereof described in Schedule 3, hereafter referred to as the “dogs on leads areas”. (4) Notice of the effect of these byelaws shall be given by signs placed in conspicuous positions at the entrances to each of the dog prohibited areas, and at the entrances or on the approaches to the canine faeces removal areas and the dogs on leads areas. Interpretation 2. (1) In these byelaws:- “the Council” means the Council of the London Borough of Barnet. Traffic noise maps of public parks in Barnet May 2018 This document shows traffic noise maps for parks in the borough. The noise maps are taken from http://www.extrium.co.uk/noiseviewer.html. Occasionally, google earth or google map images are included to help the reader identify where the park is located. Similar documents are available for all London Boroughs. These were created as part of research into the impact of traffic noise in London’s parks. They should be read in conjunction with the main report and data analysis which are available at http://www.cprelondon.org.uk/resources/item/2390-noiseinparks. The key to the traffic noise maps is shown here to the right. Orange denotes noise of 55 decibels (dB). Louder noises are denoted by reds and blues with dark blue showing the loudest.
