Pakistan Journal of Agricultural Research (quarterly) http: // www.pjar.org.pk Papers and short notes on original research and reviews of research, written in English, in the field of agriculture and allied subjects are accepted for publication after peer review. The contributors must provide duly completed authorship and contribution form signed by all authors stating that they bear all responsibility for the data reported therein, and these data are not being published or simultaneously considered for publication elsewhere. Submission of Manuscript: Two hard copies and a soft copy of the typed manuscript with reproducible figures and tables (paper size, 8.5” x 11” with 1 cm line spacing) should be sent through e-mail as attached word files and also by post to Managing Editor, Directorate of Scientific Information, National Agricultural Research Centre, Park Road Chak Shahzad, Islamabad, Pakistan. E-mail: [email protected] STYLE OF MANUSCRIPT Author’s Identification: To protect their anonymity in the review process, the authors should avoid writing their name(s) and acknowledgments in the manuscript. Instead a separate page containing the title of the paper, the name and address of the author(s) with email and the postal address for correspondence should be attached with the manuscript. Abstract: The abstract should be informative and concisely state the scope of work, methodology if original and principal findings, preferably in less than 200 words. Introduction: It should include pertinent review of literature and justification/objective of the research. Materials and Methods: It must include year and place of study, basic information on materials and methodology and details of any new method, if adopted. Tables and Illustrations: The units should be in metric system. The tables and illustrations in size adjustable in one or two columns of the journal along with captions should be placed at the end of the text. Results and Discussion: It is a combined heading with the results obtained, discussed in the light of recent relevant literature and giving conclusion of study in the end. Scientific Names: Scientific names of organisms (binomial nomenclature) should be italicized. Literature Citation: References should be cited in the text following name-year system. All citations should be written on the pattern given below and arranged alphabetically. Using EndNote (http://www.endnode.com/support/enstyles.asp) Abbreviations should not be used.
