Housing Needs Survey - Results Housing Needs Survey - Results Great Eccleston Parish Council has now received the results of the Housing Needs Survey. 48% of households responded and of those 43% added comments, which in themselves are invaluable in informing your Parish Council what its electors' wishes are. Thank you to all who responded to the questionnaire. The results provide the Parish Council with very useful information in terms of what the village currently needs and what is likely to be required over the next few years and will help in responding to those requirements. The comments that you made give a welcome illustration of residents' opinions about the shape of their community. A copy of the survey is available in the Village Centre for inspection by Great Eccleston's residents. Wyre Borough Core Strategy - Consultation Wyre Borough Council has issued its Core Strategy document for public consultation. This document will set out the Borough Council's development strategy from 2013 to 2028. The document includes proposals for where housing and businesses will be concentrated, how the transport network will be operated and how issues such as flood risk and renewable energy are to be addressed. There are specific details on what changes may occur in Great Eccleston and its surrounding settlements. This has an impact on all residents and everyone should take time to look at this, ask questions and respond to Wyre Borough Council with their views by 5pm on 21st May 2012. The document and all comments will be subject to scrutiny by an independent inspector before being adopted next year. Copies of the consultation document are available for inspection at the Village Centre. August 2016 1. Introduction This study forms part of the evidence base for the Wyre Local Plan. It details research undertaken by the Wyre council planning policy team into the role and function of the borough’s settlements, describing why this work has been undertaken, the methodology used and the results. Understanding the nature of different settlements and the relative roles they can play is critical to developing and delivering local plan strategy and individual policies. With this in mind, the aim of this Settlement Study is two-fold. First, to establish a baseline position in terms of understanding the level of economic and social infrastructure present in each settlement and how this might influence the appropriate nature and scale of development. It will provide evidence for discussions with stakeholders and developers about the nature of supporting infrastructure needed to ensure that future development is sustainable. Second, to identify, analyse and rank the borough’s settlements according to a range of indicators, and by doing so to inform the definition of the local plan settlement hierarchy (see Section 3 below).

Admissions to Baines School Poulton-le-Fylde For 2018/2019 The Governors have completed their consultation requirement of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 and have set the admission number for Year 7 pupils for September 2018 at 168. (For September 2017 over 500 applications were received for the 168 places in Year 7 covering all preferences) When applications for admission to Year 7 exceed the number of places available, the following criteria will be applied, in the order set out below, to decide which children to admit. These same criteria, in the order given, will be used to determine in year admissions. Those children with a statement or EHC Plan will be admitted prior to the oversubscription criteria being applied 1. Looked after and previously looked after children This includes children who were looked after but ceased to be so because they became adopted or became subject to a Child Arrangement Order or Special guardianship Order. Criteria 2 through to five will first be used for those whose addresses fall within the Geographical Priority Area before being used for those outside the Geographical Area 2.
