Authentic Island Experiences MANILA- CAMIGUIN - BOHOL - DUMAGUETE Day 1 - Arrival in Manila Days 2 - 4: Departure for the volcanic island of Camiguin Day 5 - 9 - Departure for Bohol Between boat tours in the islands, seeing dolphins and visiting the jungle, Bohol is one of the islands of the Philippines that offers the greatest variety of landscapes. You will also discover the island from another point of view by spending a day in a typical village. Days 10 - 12: Immerse yourself in the local culture in Dumaguete Stop in communities to explore the mountains, hot springs and delicious local specialties of this region Day 13 - Return to Manila Day 14 - Return to Canada Arrival in Manila Day 1 - Arrival in Manila You’ll arrive in Manila in the afternoon. It's time to rest, enjoy a quiet late afternoon, get a massage and eat in one of the many restaurants in the area. You can also simply relax in your hotel room... | Stages: Manila | Accommodation : Hop Inn Hotel (standard) DAYS 2-4: ENJOY THE CALM OF CAMIGUIN The island of fire, as it is known, contains the densest concentration of volcanoes in the world! Visit the exceptional Katibawasan waterfall, a 75-metre waterfall that makes it the local favorite. Swim to meet the sea turtles and opt for a boat tour of the island of Mantis. The corals are unique, marked by the eruption of the volcano 100 years ago. The bravest will attempt to climb the Hibok Hibok Hibok volcano crossing an exceptional exotic fauna and flora while the others will enjoy White Beach, the natural thermal baths or the hot springs of Bura Soda Pool (and many others!). Stages: Camiguin Accommodation: YSLA beach Camp (small tent) Day 5 - Travel to Bohol 2h ferry + 2h van Day 6-10 Discovery of Panglao Island Your activities.... Bohol is an island that offers a diversity of activities and exceptional landscapes. Stroll around the farm and its surroundings. Test thefarm's local productions or rent a scooter to discover the secrets of this island. You can also choose to participate in these two guided tours and you will be given a free day to relax. Day 6: Free Day! Wow, Bohol! Bohol is dubbed as “God’s Little Paradise” because it showcases the amazing natural wonders! So today, for your free day, we suggest that you start your Bohol trip by enjoying the beach! You can also rent a scooter to tour the island of Panglao and go from beach to beach Day 7: Chocolate Hills and Loboc River sightseeing tour You will discover these mysterious hills for which Bohol is famous in the morning and leave by boat along the loboc river in the afternoon with a picnic on site. This tour is offered by your hotel or by the many tour operators in the area. Day 8: Boat trip in the islands An early morning wake-up to take a boat at 6am and have the best chance of seeing dolphins, before visiting some beautiful islands and white sand banks. You can dive in the turquoise water and observe the seabed with your mask and snorkel. Stages: Panglao, Bohol | Accommodation: Amarella (standard) Day 9: Visit a local village in Bohol Go off the beaten track on the other side of the island in this charming village built by the NGO Gawad Kalinga. Your visit to this peaceful community is the perfect opportunity for you to meet locals, feed the animals on the organic farm and experience Filipino hospitality at its best. Stay for one night to integrate into the village and enjoy a campfire, dancing and singing with the families. Accommodation: GK Maribojoc (private room) DAY 10: ENJOY YOUR LAST DAY IN BOHOL If you have been in the community, you will spend the morning learning how to cook a local specialty. If you have stayed at the hotel, you can spend the morning at the beach, perhaps by reading a good book (like The Wealth of the Poor, a book written by MAD Travel co-founder Tom Graham;)) We will leave the community (or your hotel) before lunch to go to the port to take a boat to Dumaguete. You will be welcomed by the community of GK Valencia for dinner and then spend the night at Forest Camp Resort, nestled in a valley. Travel time: 3-4 hours Stages : Bohol - Dumaguete, Negros Oriental Accommodation: Flying Fish (Basic Double) DAY 11: VISIT THE CASARORO WATERFALLS Around 10am, we will start a two-hour hike to the beautiful Casaroro Falls where we can swim and have a picnic. In the afternoon, we will go to the Forest Camp. You will have free time to participate in the resort's activities: swimming pool, zip line, horse riding and many others. Stages : Dumaguete, Oriental Negros Accommodation: Flying Fish (Basic Double) DAY 12: IMMERSION IN THE GAWAD KALINGA VALENCIA COMMUNITY We will start the day around 9am to go to the colourful village of GK Valencia. You can learn how to make local handicrafts with the residents. They will also show you how to make your own compost. In the afternoon, we will visit the hot springs of the Red Stones before leaving for your last stop: the long beaches of Dauin. Travel time: 1 hour | Stages : Dumaguete - Dauin, Negros Oriental | Accommodation | Flying Fish (Basic Double) Day 13 - Return to Manila - Bid Dumaguete goodbye as you fly back to the metro. We have arranged a transportation for you from your resort to the airport for your flight to Manila. Once in the city, take the time to stroll around and see Manila as it is. Try local food and restaurants and check out a local bar as you prepare for your flight back home tomorrow. Day 14 - Departure for Canada And that's it, your adventure is over.
