Twenty five healthy subjects performed a three-level N-back test using a fully mobile setup including tablet-based presentation of the task and EEG data collection with a self- mounted mobile EEG device at two assessment time points. A two-fold analysis approach was chosen including a standard analysis of variance and an artificial neural network to distinguish the levels of cognitive load. -

1 Smartphones and Symbian OS Symbian OS is a full-featured, open, mobile operating system that powers many of today’s smartphones. As these smartphones become more pow- erful and popular, the demand for smartphone software has grown. Symbian smartphones are shipped with a variety of useful pre-loaded and targeted applications, which are selected by each phone’s manu- facturer. Today, the average Symbian smartphone ships with over 30 pieces of third-party software pre-installed. However, the exciting aspect of Symbian smartphones is that they are ‘open’, meaning that users can further customize their phone experience by downloading, installing, and uninstalling applications written by third-party developers (or by the users themselves). Users can download applications from a PC to the smartphone through a link such as USB, or Bluetooth technology, or over-the-air via the Internet. With the largest installed base of smartphones worldwide, Symbian OS offers a great opportunity for software developers to establish them- selves in the mobile market by creating novel and exciting software for the growing mass of smartphone users around the world. At the distribution level (i.e., MAN), smart grid provides two way communication between households and utilities. At the transmis- sion level (i.e., WAN), multiple organizations need to share the transmission lines and cooperate with participants in their region. Efficient and reliable operation of the grid depends on accurate state measurements and secure data transfer to oper- ation centers. These tasks are complicated by the vast amount of data from diverse sources that are owned by multiple entities that impose physical, economic, market, and political constraints on the data sharing. However, to protect against grid-wide failures and defend against coordinated attacks, power grid operators need to increase data sharing.
