As a former musician, sound engineer and producer, I’d worked with some of the best artists in some of the leading studios and music venues around the world. But back then, nowhere really existed that provided structured education and training to help people answer that question. So, in 1994, we created Confetti. From the start, we ensured real-world industry experiences were always on offer alongside the academic study. In my opinion, that was the best way to learn and ultimately get the best jobs. The approach worked so well we gave it a name - “Do it for Real” became our ethos, and it still informs all our key decisions today. From our film company Spool, to broadcasting on Notts TV, the designers and makers at Constellations creating high-tech learning spaces to running our world class venue Metronome - authentic experiences and opportunities for our students are at the centre of everything we do.
