The 19-year-old Austrian single-handedly celebrated his first victory in the 60-minute race with Audi’s Saxon customer racing team Yaco Racing. It was the second victory this season for the Audi R8 LMS in a Dunlop 60 race. Third place went to Vincent Kolb. The 24-year-old driver from Frankfurt, Germany, was at the wheel of an Audi R8 LMS from Phoenix Racing. In the following sprint races, Audi Sport’s customers collected further trophies. With third place overall in Phoenix Racing's Audi LMS R8 Marc Bronzel (Siek), Luca Ludwig (Roisdorf), Dennis Rostek (Porta Westfalica) and Markus Winkelhock (Berglen) presented the team with an unexpected surprise since this quartet did not even number among the favorites before the race started. The conservative and mechanically easy going driving style of the Phoenix squad, however, paid dividends: The Audi R8 LMS with start number 97 ran – apart from a small electronical problem during the opening stages – with the smallest technical problem. The Audi RS 4 continues the tradition of quattro GmbH in bridging the gap between motorsport and everyday motoring. At Audi, the “RS” abbreviation stands for unmatched performance ability, technological innovation, motorsports pedigree, and thrilling driving dynamics. At the heart of the RS 4 lies the high-revving 420-hp naturally-aspirated V8 engine featuring FSI direct injection technology, which was first proved out in the Le Mans-winning Audi R8 race car. The RS 4 features the latest generation of the quattro permanent all-wheel drive system with asymmetric/dynamic torque distribution. Under normal driving circumstances, 40 percent of the power is sent to the front wheels and 60 percent to the rear. The next electric Audi is being launched, following in the footsteps of the Audi e-tron SUV and the Audi e-tron Sportback slated for 2019. Donau, June 7, 2021 – The teams of Audi Sport customer racing, with the brand’s products, won a total of four trophies while competing against the best teams in three European countries and in America. Audi R8 LMS GT3 Within striking distance of the top: At the halfway point of the Campionato Italiano GT Sprint series, Audi Sport Italia is keeping the pressure on for the championship decision with its two driver teams. And this despite the fact that the second race weekend at Misano was anything but perfect. From the second row on the grid, Lorenzo Ferrari had his sights set on a podium with teammate Riccardo Agostini in the second race on Sunday, but a puncture on the first lap dropped Ferrari to the rear of the field. The subsequent race to catch up after a safety car period and an unexpected rain shower brought the two Italians back up to fifth place. They had achieved the same result in Saturday’s race. With 34 championship points, they are in second place in the drivers’ standings, eight points behind the leaders of the standings.
