ELENCO SINOPSIS OTELLO: MARTIN ILIEV, Tenor, (BULGARIA) IAGO: CARLOS ANDRADE, Barítono, (MÉXICO) Acto 1 DESDÉMONA: MIKI MORI, Soprano, (JAPON) En una noche de tormenta, el pueblo de Chipre espera la llegada del nuevo gobernador Otello, de la batalla con los turcos. Otello, ha promovido a capitán CASSIO: ALVARO VALLEJO, Tenor (ESPAÑA) a Cassio, un cargo que su lugarteniente, Yago, esperaba obtener. Tras un EMILIA: NATALIA MATVIEVA, Mezzosoprano enfrentamiento entre Roderigo (el cuál se dispone a seducir a Desdémona) y RODRIGO: VITALY KOZIN, Tenor Cassio, Otello degrada a Cassio. Otello y Desdémona, ya solos, recuerdan su noviazgo, se besan y vuelven al castillo. LUDOVICO: YURI ALEXEICHUK, Bajo Acto II EQUIPO ARTÍSTICO En el jardín del castillo, Iago aconseja a Cassio bucar la ayuda de Desdémona para ser disculpado por Otello y recobrar su honra. Iago, insunúa sobre la DIRECTOR MUSICAL: VASYL VASILENKO fidelidad de Desdémona tras haberla Desdémona en el jardín junto con su esposa DIRECTORA DE CORO: LUDMILA ESTRELSOVA Emilia y Cassio. Otello, celoso e irritado, jura venganza al decirle Iago que DIRECTOR DE ESCENA: NADIA SCHVETS Desdémona le había dado a Cassio el pañuelo que Otello le había regalado cuando se comprometieron. REGIDOR: ALEXANDER LEBEDEV MAESTRA INTERNA: NINA ILINIA Acto III TRADUCCIÓN SIMULTÁNEA: ANTONIO GARCÍA DE CASTRO Desdémona advierte las sospechas de Otello, el cuál entra en cólera cuando le DIRECCIÓN ARTÍSTICA: LEONOR GAGO solicita el pañuelo a su esposa, y ésta, en vez de entregárselo, le pide que reponga a Cassio como capitán. Tras manipular Iago las bromas de Cassio sobre su amante DIRECCIÓN GENERAL: CONCERLÍRICA S.L. Bianca, Otello jura matar a su esposa. Acto IV En su habitación y mientras Emilia la ayuda a prepararse para dormir, Desdémona canta una canción sobre una criada que fue abandonada por su amante. Otello se le insinúa a Desdémona y la besa tiernamente. Cuando ella despierta, él le dice que se prepare para la muerte y, a pesar de que ella declara su inocencia, él la estrangula. Emilia anuncia la noticia de que Cassio ha asesinado a Roderigo, y oyendo los gemidos de Desdémona, acude en busca de ayuda a Cassio, Ludovico y Iago, apuñalándola éste último al contar la traición de Iago..

    Soprano Vittoria Yeo Born in Seoul, South Korea, her musical studies began in her hometown where she graduated with a degree in vocal performance from Seokyeong University. She then moved to Italy to continue her training. After receiving her diploma in vocal performance from the “Arrigo Boito” Conservatory of Music in Parma, she furthered her training at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena and then the Istituto Musicale Pareggiato “Vecchi-Tonelli” in Modena, where she studied with celebrated soprano Raina Kabaivanska and graduated with the highest marks. Vittoria Yeo began her international career with her debut at the Salzburg Festival during the summer of 2015 where she sang Elvira in Ernani under the musical direction of Riccardo Muti. On view are approximately forty items related to Puccini’s career, including rarely seen original sketches for his acclaimed operas Madama Butterfly and La Bohème. The exhibition celebrates the 150th anniversary (2008– 09) of Puccini’s birth in Lucca, Italy, on December 22, 1858. The show runs through January 10, 2010. In addition to original manuscripts, the exhibition also includes a display of first-edition librettos, personal letters, a period poster and playbills, souvenir postcards, and rare material linked to Puccini’s relationship with such legends as Enrico Caruso and Arturo Toscanini. The exhibition is drawn almost exclusively from the Morgan’s extensive music holdings, including the Cary, Heineman, and Fuld collections, as well as the Robert Owen Lehman Collection, which is on deposit at the Morgan. “The Morgan is delighted to bring to life this major figure in operatic history,” said William M.     Ana Petricevic Soprano Ana Petricevic was born in Belgrade, Serbia, where she began her musical studies at the age of 8, when she started playing the flute. She studied opera singing at the University of Music in Belgrade. Her notable achievements as a student include winning the “Biserka Cvejic” award for the most promising young soprano and the “Danica Mastilovic” award for the best student. She also won the outright 1st prize (100/100 points) at the International Competition for Chamber Music “Davorin Jenko” and 2nd Prize at the International Competition for Opera Singers “Ondina Otta” in Maribor, Slovenia. and graduated with the highest grades, interpreting the roles of Micaela (Carmen, G. Bizet) and Tatiana (Eugene Onegin, P. I. Tchaikovsky). Ms Petricevic's professional debut was a success singing the role of Georgetta (Il Tabarro, G. Puccini) at the National Theatre of Belgrade. Following that performance, she made her debut also in the role of Contessa Almaviva (Le Nozze di Figaro, W. A. Mozart). In 2012 Ms Petricevic was presented a scholarship from the fund “Raina Kabaivanska” and, shortly afterwards, moved to Modena, Italy. For the next three years she studied with the famous Bulgarian soprano at the Institute of Music Vecchi-Tonelli di Modena. The concert was broadcasted live on National Television.
