Aviation, Hamble-le-Rice 28854 R01 (00) 1 INTRODUCTION On the instruction of CgMs (part of the RPS Group) acting on behalf of GE Aviation Systems Limited (‘‘the client’’), RSK Environment Limited (RSK) has carried out a preliminary risk assessment (PRA) of the land at GE Aviation UK, Kings Avenue, Hamble-le-Rice, Southampton here after referred to as ‘the site’. The project was commissioned in order to obtain / collate information on the environmental characteristics of the site and assess potential liabilities associated with site ownership and redevelopment. This report is subject to the RSK service constraints given in Appendix A. 1.1 Scope The project was carried out to an agreed brief as set out in RSK’s proposal (ref: 28854L01 dated 19th September 2017). The scope of works for the Preliminary Risk Assessment included: Review of the published geological, hydrogeological and hydrological data; Review of historical plans to ascertain previous land use and identify potential historical sources of contamination; Review of a environmental database (GroundSure report EMS-402045_537478,
