Kangerlussuaq´s location is a paradise for both reindeer and musk oxen, who thrive in this environment due to the relatively mild, stable and dry climate and the abundance of food. With a bit of luck, you will observe musk oxen roaming freely in their natural habitat. You will follow a route through the beautiful tundra landscape to the top of the mountain Black Ridge, which offers fantastic panoramic views of the valleys, rivers, Kangerlussuaq and even parts of the Greenland Ice Sheet.
