TIPOFF * Game >> The New Orleans women’s basketball program will look to turn the page after four consecutive losses to begin Southland Conference play this season. The Privateers dropped their most recent contest, 67-56, to host Nicholls at the David R. this past Saturday. Playing in her hometown for the final time in a New Orleans uniform, senior DIONJHAE THOMAS had one of the best performances of her career as she set a new career high with 20 points and eight assists. Sophomore guard MIA DECK was the only other Privateer to finish in double figures as she registered 12 points to go with an assist and a steal. It is the second straight game that the sharpshooter has posted a double-digit scoring output and sixth contest in double figures overall on the season. COVERAGE INFORMATION >> Tonight’s meeting is against familiar foes as this will be the 23rd matchup between the two Southland programs TELEVISION N/A in their respective school history. The series is one that has gone back and forth in recent years and New Orleans Play-by-Play - has captured the past four matchups in a row against Northwestern State. This broke a trend that favored the Lady Demons as Northwestern State won eight of the ten showdowns between the two sides that took place Color - between 2012 through 2018. AUDIO Privateers Sports Network (UNOPrivateers.com/Watch) >> New Orleans is coming off one of the best seasons in program history. The Privateers advanced to the Southland Play-by-Play Emmanuel Pepis Tournament for the fourth straight year and posted the program’s highest win total since 1992-93. Included in that mark were 12 Southland victories, the most conference wins for the program in a single-season in school history. STREAMING PSN (UNOPrivateers.com/Watch) >> The Privateers return just four of their 13 letterwinners from a year ago, but each returner (DIONJHAE THOMAS, Play-by-Play Emmanuel Pepis JADA DUNCANTELL, MIA DECK and MARY DELGADO) has handled starter minutes during their career. The team also reloaded with one of the most talented and deepest recruiting classes in program history with the STREAM UNOPrivateers.com/Watch addition of 11 newcomers that included two transfers ( and ) and eight freshmen TIANA GIPSON ERIN RANDLE LIVE STATS UNOPrivateers.com (CALEIGH-ROSE WEST, ERICCA RICHARDSON, KYLA DAVIS, ZOE COOPER, BRIANNA ELLIS, AALIA CARLSON, ZANAA CORDIS and JACQUELINE DIANIS).
