FY 2018 Recreational Grant Awards by County

Bannock County - $ 150,000  Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $8,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the rehabilitation of the West Fork of Mink Creek trail.  Portneuf Greenway Foundation will receive $60,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the widening and repaving of the Sacagawea Park path.  Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $72,000 from the Road and Bridge Fund for the paving of the approach road to the Gibson Jack Trailhead.  Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $10,000 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for the installation of a vault toilet at the Gibson Jack Trailhead.

Benewah County - $ 209,120  Benewah County will receive $209,120 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the replacement of the boat launch at Aqua Park.

Blaine County - $ 516,895  will receive $64,500 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for three CXT comfort stations in the Ketchum Ranger District.  Sawtooth National Forest will receive $55,550 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for heavy trail maintenance in the Ketchum Ranger District.  Sawtooth National Forest will receive $64,000 from the Recreational Trail Program Fund for the reconstruction of the Alden Gulch Trail.  Sawtooth National Forest will receive $11,748 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for the purchase of snowmobiles in the Ketchum Ranger District.  Sawtooth National Forest will receive $4,400 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for the purchase of two motorcycles in the Ketchum Ranger District.  Sawtooth National Forest will receive $41,605 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for the maintenance and restoration of Park Creek Trail.  City of Hailey will receive $75,092 from the Land and Water Conservation Fund for improvements at Balmoral Park.  Blaine County Recreation District will receive $200,000 from the Land and Water Conservation Fund for a play stream and poop restoration at the Aquatic Center.

Boise County - $ 915,224  Ada County Parks and Waterways will receive $53,059 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the purchase and installation of docks and boat ramp at Spring Shores Marina.  will receive $60,565 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the restoration of the Rattlesnake Campground.  Boise National Forest will receive $64,200 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for signs and trail repair in City.  Boise National Forest will receive $50,800 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for heavy trail maintenance and signage at the North Zone Trail.  Boise National Forest will receive $667,600 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for trail restoration and signage in Idaho City.  Boise National Forest will receive $19,000 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for the signage, kiosks, winter safety and education at the Loman Ranger District.

Bonner County - $ 397,050.50  Bonner County Parks and Waterways will receive $271,550.50 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the upgrade and replacement of the water system at the Garfield Bay Campground.  Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $40,000 from the Recreational Trail Program Fund for the construction of a bridge at the Beetop Roundtop Trail.  Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $35,500 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the reconstruction of the boardwalks at Beach Trail.  City of Ponderay will receive $50,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the extension of Creekside Trail.

Bonneville County - $ 341,326.53  City of Idaho Falls will receive $122,231 for the replacement of the ramp/dock and for the chip seal access/parking lot at Gem Marina.  Bonneville County Parks and Recreation will receive $26,529.53 for the replacement of the vault toilet at the Juniper Boat Ramp.  Bonneville County Parks and Recreation will receive $8,220 for the purchase of picnic tables at Juniper Campground.  City of Idaho Falls will receive $44,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for a restroom at River Gardens.  Idaho Falls Trail Machine Association will receive $11,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for motorbikes in the Palisades Ranger District.  Bonneville County Parks and Recreation will receive $101,245 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the purchase of a tractor.  Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $11,000 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for the replacement of the bridge at Rim Trail.  Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office will receive $17,101 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for two ATV’s.

Boundary County - $ 226,520  Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $38,500 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the reconstruction and drainage improvement of the Mission-Ardnt Trail.  Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $42,510 from the Recreational Trail Program Fund for trail reconstruction at the Parker Ridge Trail.  Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $46,510 from the Recreational Trail Program Fund for the reconstruction of the Russell Ridge Trail.  Boundary County will receive $99,000 from the Road and Bridge Fund for the replacement of a bridge at Caribou Creek.

Camas County - $ 553,014  Sawtooth National Forest will receive $553,014 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the campground renovations at Baumgartner Campground.

Canyon County - $ 62,750  Canyon County Sheriff’s Office will receive $62,750 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the purchase of a new patrol boat.

Cassia County - $ 47,738  Cassia County Sheriff’s Office will receive $47,738 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the purchase of a patrol boat.

Clark County - $ 18,950  Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $2,250 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for signs in the Dubois Ranger District.  Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $16,700 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for the replacement of a vault toilet at the Eight Mile Trailhead.

Custer County - $ 911,864  Sawtooth National Forest will receive $111,864 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the construction of a ramp, docks, parking lot, restroom and access road at Stanley Lake.  Sawtooth National Forest will receive $400,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the reconstruction of the campground at Stanley Lake.  Sawtooth National Forest will receive $400,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the construction of a road, trail and parking lot at Redfish Lake.

Elmore County - $ 163,455  Eastern Elmore County Recreation District will receive $163,455 from the Land and Water Conservation Fund for the development of Tank’s East Side Skate.

Franklin County - $ 82,099  West Side School District will receive $82,099 from the Land and Water Conservation Fund for the development of multi-purpose courts in Dayton.

Fremont County - $ 586,270  Bureau of Land Management – Pocatello will receive $122,388 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for shelters at Egin Lakes Campground.  Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation will receive $220,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the renovation of the restroom and shower at Henry’s Lake State Park.  Fremont County Parks and Recreation Department will receive $9,100 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the purchase of picnic tables at Frome Park.  Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation will receive $100,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the replacement of the water system at Henry’s Lake State Park.  Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $90,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for paving of the Buffalo Campground.  Fremont County Parks and Recreation Department will receive $20,782 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the purchase of a truck.  Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $12,500 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for a trailhead and signing at West End OHV.  Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $3,700 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for the repair of the Railroad Grade Trail.  Fremont County Parks and Recreation Department will receive $2,800 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for snow poles.  Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $5,000 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for the purchase of a snowmobile for Ashton and Island Park Ranger District.

Kootenai County - $ 1,773,271  Kootenai County Parks and Waterways will receive $324,000 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the replacement of docks at Mowry Park.  City of Harrison will receive $583,300 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for campground renovations at the Harrison RV Park.  Kootenai County/North Idaho Fair Board will receive $449,771 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund asphalt, furnishings, roads, sewer hoop-ups and landscaping at North Idaho Fair RV Park.  Bureau of Land Management – Coeur d’Alene Field Office will receive $59,200 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for trailhead development at Ross Point.  City of Coeur d’Alene will receive $147,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the seal coat of Centennial Trail.  City of Post Falls will receive $210,000 from the Land and Water Conservation Fund for the development of Tullamore Park.

Latah County - $ 338,811  City of Potlatch will receive $84,236 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for campground improvements at the Scenic 6 RV Park.  City of Troy will receive $188,575 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for campground improvements at the Troy RV Park.  Latah County Parks will receive $66,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the paving of Latah Trail.

Lemhi County - $ 216,203  Salmon-Challis National Forest will receive $20,995 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the replacement of an existing ramp and site improvements at Williams Lake.  Salmon-Challis National Forest will receive $74,886 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for campground improvements at Cougar Point Campground.  Lemhi County will receive $18,925 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the purchase of a truck.  Salmon-Challis National Forest will receive $83,000 from the Recreational Trail Program Fund for the heavy trail reconstruction of the Camas Middle Fork Trail.  Salmon-Challis National Forest will receive $18,397 from the Recreational Trail Program Fund for the replacement of a bridge at Goldbug Hot Springs.

Lincoln County - $ 196,173  City of Shoshone will receive $46,173 from the Land and Water Conservation Fund for the playground renovation at the Mary L. Gooding Memorial Park.  Lincoln County Recreation District will receive $150,000 from the Land and Water Conservation Fund for reconstruction of the Lincoln County pool.

Minidoka County - $ 80,000  Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation will receive $80,000 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the renovation of the restroom and shower at .

Nez Perce County - $ 118,415  Nez Perce County will receive $118,415 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the expansion and replacement of the dock system at the Southway Boat Ramp.

Owyhee County - $ 103,864  City of Marsing will receive $88,840 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the replacement of the docks at Marsing Island.  Dirt Inc. will receive $15,024 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for trail maintenance, restoration and signs in Owyhee and Canyon County.

Shoshone County - $ 144,131  Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $25,050 from the Recreational Trail Program Fund for the restoration and replacement of sixteen puncheon bridges at St. Joe River Trail.  Shoshone County will receive $2,750 from the Recreational Trail Program Fund for trail maintenance near the Coeur d’Alene River Road.  Friends of Coeur d’Alene Trails will receive $18,601 from the Recreational Trail Program Fund for the construction of shade shelters at the Coeur d’Alene Trail and Mullan Trailhead.  Idaho Department of Fish and Game will receive $20,500 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for trail maintenance at Snow Peak.  Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $67,590 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for trail restoration and repair at Delaney-Turner-Slate motorcycle trails.  Shoshone County will receive $9,640 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for maintenance of the Big Creek Road to St. Joe Divide Trail.

Teton County - $ 457,707  Teton County will receive $27,000 from the Waterways Improvement Fund for the installation of a vault toilet, signage and barriers.  Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $376,175 from the Recreational Vehicle Fund for the construction of a new loop at the Mike Harris Campground.  Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $15,872 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the reconstruction of the Garns Mountain Trail.  Teton County will receive $5,060 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for signage.  Teton County will receive $33,600 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the construction of a pathway at Bates Road – Teton River Access Park.

Twin Falls County - $ 13,338  Twin Falls County will receive $13,338 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for the purchase of two snowmobiles.

Multi County - $ 700,970  Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $22,994 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for trail maintenance and improvements at Big Hole.  Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $35,100 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for trail maintenance and signs in the Coeur d’Alene Ranger District.  Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $22,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for trail brushing in the Montpelier and Soda Springs District.  Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $42,300 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for heavy trail maintenance of the centennial and State Line trails.  Payette National Forest will receive $11,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund to re-route and perform maintenance on the Jackson and French Creek Trail.  Sawtooth National Forest will receive $43,625 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for heavy trail maintenance in the Fairfield Ranger District.  Panhandle Trail Riders Association will receive $3,172 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for chainsaws and hand tools for use in the Idaho Panhandle National Forest.  Sawtooth National Forest will receive $51,460 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the restoration and maintenance of the Warm Springs Meadow Trail and Trailhead.  Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $37,600 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for heavy trail brushing in the Coeur d’Alene River Ranger District.  Friends of Weiser River trail Inc. will receive $20,316 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the replacement of a handrail, resurfacing and seal coat of the Weiser River Trail.  Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $15,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for heavy trail brushing in the Coeur d’Alene River Ranger District.  Boise National Forest will receive $24,000 from the Recreational Trail Program Fund for heavy trail maintenance in the Lowman Ranger District.  Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation – Recreation Program will receive $220,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for the purchase of two new groomers to be used in Fremont and Boise Counties.  Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $25,000 from the Recreational Trails Program Fund for trail maintenance in the Montpelier/Soda Springs District.  Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation will receive $33,000 from the Off- Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for the OHV Public Outreach Campaign.  Idaho Panhandle National Forest will receive $37,600 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for heavy trail maintenance in the Coeur d’Alene Ranger District.  Payette National Forest will receive $6,050 from the off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for the purchase of a snowmobile in the Weiser and Council Ranger District.  Caribou-Targhee National Forest will receive $5,000 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for the purchase of an ATV in the Montpelier Ranger District.  Bureau of Land Management-Pocatello Field Office will receive $45,753 from the Off-Road Motor Vehicle Program Fund for trail maintenance and signs in the Pocatello Field Area.
