Dobeles Dzirnavnieks/FeelFree LAT Elite 5 RACE REGULATIONS ORGANIZATION The stage race „Baltic Chain Tour 2020” is organized according to UCI Cycling Regulations (CR) for the catego- ry ME and MU (UCI class 2.2.) from 13th (12th) to 15th August 2020. The race consists of Prelude competition and Stage race with 3 stages. PARTICIPATION The Baltic Chain Tour 2020 is open to UCI ProTeams of the country, UCI foreign ProTeams, UCI continental teams, national teams, regional teams and club teams. Participation of the teams is regulated by the article 2.1.005 of the UCI CR As per article 2.2.003 of the UCI CR teams must be formed of minimum 5 and maximum 7 riders. Deadline for preliminary entries is July 15, 2020, when correctly filled entry form must reach the organizer by e-mail: [email protected]. Final confirmation of starters, verification of licenses and distribution of race numbers and accreditation cards will take place on Wednesday, August 12, at 16:00–18:00 in Pirita Marina Hotel & SPA (Purje 9, Tallinn, +372 6 398 717, www.piritamarinahotel.ee) The Team Managers´ meeting, organized in accordance with the article 1.2.087 of the UCI CR, in the presence of the Members of the Commissaires’ Panel, is scheduled for Wednesday, August 12 at 18:30 in Pirita Marina Hotel & SPA (Purje 9, Tallinn, +372 6 398 717, www.piritamarinahotel.ee) RACE HEADQUARTERS List of locations of Headquarters for each stage at the starting points and finishing points will be provided in the official program. START SHEET All riders must sign the start sheet before every stage. The signature of the starting sheet will take place one hour and 10 minutes before the start time at the assembly point and will end ten minutes before the start time. By signing the start sheet the rider confirms that he has read, understood and will respect the race regulations and the route of the stage. RADIO-TOUR Race information will be broadcasted throughout each stage. The allocated frequency will be provided at the team managers’ meeting. Handout of radio transmitters to the Team Managers will take place every day at the Starting area one hour be- fore the start. Each Team Manager must sign the delivery sheet at receiving and returning of the transmitters, as well as to pay the security deposit 50 €. Transmitters must be returned immediately after each stage. NEUTRAL TECHNICAL SUPPORT Neutral support is provided by 3 (three) vehicles. 6 TIME BONUSES Bonuses (UCI CR 2.6.019) will be awarded as follows: • at each intermediate sprint: 3”, 2” and 1” • at the finish line of each stage: 10”, 6” and 4” FINISHING TIME LIMITS Any rider finishing in a time exceeding that of the winner by more than 10% shall not be placed. In exceptional cases only, unpredictable and of force majeure, the Commissaires Panel may extend the finish- ing time limits after consultation with the organizer according to the UCI CR art. 2.6.032. CLASSIFICATIONS The race has 5 classifications: 1. General Individual Classification on time (Yellow Jersey) The winner of The Baltic Chain Tour 2020 is the rider, who, after completed all 3 stages has the lowest accu- mulated time, including bonuses and penalizations. The leading rider in the General Individual Classification on time shall wear the designed Yellow Jersey in the following stage. When two or more riders make the same time in the general individual placing, the placing will be set according to UCI CR art. 2.6.015. The Yellow Jersey is handed over immediately after each stage at the award ceremony. The current leader may wear on the Yellow Jersey advertising of his team’s Main Sponsor (UCI CR art. 1.3.053). 2. Most Competitive Rider on points (Red Jersey) The Most Competitive Rider Classification is decided by adding together the points awarded at each interme- diate sprint and at each stage finish. The rider with the highest number of points, who completes the whole race, is the winner of the Most Competitive Rider and shall wear the Red Jersey. Points are awarded as follows: Stage finish: 15 – 11 – 9 – 7 – 6 – 5 – 4 – 3 – 2 -1 Intermediate sprint: 3 – 2 – 1 In the event of a tie in the Most Competitive Rider Classification the riders are separated according to UCI CR art. 2.6.017. The leader in the Most Competitive Rider Classification may wear on the Red Jersey advertising of his team’s Main sponsor (UCI CR art. 1.3.053). 3. Most Active Rider by intermediate sprint points (Green Jersey) Most Active Rider is decided by points awarded on each intermediate sprint. Points are allocated at each inter- mediate sprint as follows: 3 – 2 - 1 points for the 3 first riders. The rider with the highest number of points, who completes the whole race, is the Most Active Rider and shall wear the Green Jersey. In the event of a tie in the Classification of Most Active Rider the riders are separated according to UCI CR art. 2.6.017. The leader in the Classification of Most Active Rider may wear on the Green Jersey advertising of his team’s Main sponsor (UCI CR art. 1.3.053). 7 4. Best Young Rider Classification on overall time (White Jersey) This classification is for riders born after 1st of January 1998. The Best Young Rider is decided by adding together the time taken by eligible riders on each stage. In the event of equality of time, the leading rider will be decided in the same manner as the overall general classifica- tion on time. The leader in the Best Young Rider Classification may wear on the White Jersey advertising of his team’s Main sponsor (UCI CR art. 1.3.053). 5. Team General Classification on overall time The General Team Classification shall be calculated on the basis of the sums of the three best individual times of each team in each stage ridden. In the event of tie the teams are separated in accordance with UCI CR art. 2.6.016. Priority of Leaders Jerseys: Yellow – Red – Green – White.
