The No. 1 Florida - 198.400, 1st at NCAA Gainesville Regional Canadian Olympic alternate at the 2012 Games, Savona earned the highest event score in a freshman’s first meet in LSU history with a 9.925 on floor. Missouri - Did not qualify to NCAA Regionals • Breaux was the fourth coach in major women’s collegiate gymnastics to eclipse 600 career wins, joining Utah’s Greg Marsden (993), retired Georgia coach Suzanne Yoculan (836) and retired WVU coach Linda Burdette-Good (644). Michigan’s Bev Plocki became the fifth coach to reach 600 wins on March 2. • Breaux is the only current coach in the SEC with 600 wins, currently at 619. Next closest is Alabama’s Sarah Patterson with 432. Utah’s Greg Marsden leads the nation with 993 wins. Jay Clark Joins the Tigers Coaching Staff • For the first time in 12 seasons a new coach will roam the floor for LSU after Jay Clark took over for the departed Philip Ogletree. Clark comes to LSU after 20 seasons at Georgia, including the last three as head coach, and he helped guide the Gym Dogs to seven team NCAA titles, 12 SEC titles, seven individual national titles on bars and 64 All-Americans.

D-D Breaux Enters Year 36 as Head Coach • LSU gymnastics is going into its 39th year of existence, and D-D Breaux has been at the helm for nearly all of it as she is in her 36th year as head of the program. Breaux holds a career record of 619-390-8. • In her time as coach, LSU has produced 116 NCAA All-Americans, 110 NACGC/W Scholastic All-Americans, 51 All- Southeastern Conference selections, 153 SEC Academic Honor Roll members, eight NCAA individual national champions, 31 AIAW or NCAA Championships appearances and two NCAA Super Six appearances.
