Technical Crew Information Performance Dates: October 20 (3 & 7 PM) October 21 (3 PM)

Thank you for your interest in being on the Tech Crew for the McDuffee Music Studio 2018 Musical Production of Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. There are 5 different possible Crew positions available for students in 5th – 12th grades at any school, up to 15 people max. Each crew position is vital to the success of a show and the responsibilities should be taken seriously. Sign ups are open now and will close when all the spots are filled, on a first-come, first-served basis.

Being part of any production requires commitment and hard-work. I compare theater to a team-sport: EVERYONE is important and necessary. I have told the cast that Sea Urchin #3 is every bit as important as Ariel in this production. The Technical Crew is just as important as the people on the as well.

LIABILITY: Being on the Technical Crew requires a certain amount of physical activity including lifting, climbing, moving, carrying, and generally being involved with large and possibly heavy physical objects. There is a certain amount of risk involved in this. We take every precaution to keep everyone safe, and I am a firm believer in safety first. But I also remember how excited I was as a kid to be in and around the theater and I know that sometimes an action happens before the thought to stop it can intervene. I also know that accidents happen by accident.

If you are interested in being on the Tech Crew for this production, the parent/guardian has to read, agree, and sign (as initials on the webform) the following statement:

I recognize that theatrical activities can involve some physical risk. By granting this permission, I waive any claims against, and release and hold harmless and indemnify McDuffee Music Studio LLC and its employees, volunteers, agents and representatives from any liability, claims, demands and causes of action arising out of or relating to any loss, damage or injury sustained in connection with or arising out of my child’s participation in the program.
