O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing 3. Amazing Grace O for a thousand tongues to sing Amazing grace! How sweet the sound my great Redeemer's praise, That saved a wretch like me. the glories of my God and King, I once was lost, but now am found, the triumphs of his grace! Was blind, but now I see. Jesus! the name that charms our fears, 'Twas grace that taught my heart to fear, that bids our sorrows cease; And grace my fears relieved. 'tis music in the sinner's ears, How precious did that grace appear 'tis life, and health, and peace. The hour I first believed. He speaks, and listening to his voice, The Lord has promised good to me new life the dead receive; His word my hope secures; the mournful, broken hearts rejoice, He will my shield and portion be, the humble poor believe. As long as life endures. In Christ, your head, you then shall know, When we've been there ten thousand years shall feel your sins forgiven; Bright shining as the sun, anticipate your heaven below, We've no less days to sing God's praise and own that love is heaven. Than when we've first begun. 4. It Is Well with My Soul 2. Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing When peace, like a river, attendeth my way, Come, thou Fount of every blessing, When sorrows like sea billows roll; tune my heart to sing thy grace; Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say, streams of mercy, never ceasing, It is well, it is well with my soul. call for songs of loudest praise. Teach me some melodious sonnet, Refrain: sung by flaming tongues above. It is well (it is well), with my soul (with my soul) Praise the mount! I'm fixed upon it, It is well, it is well with my soul. mount of thy redeeming love. Though Satan should buffet, though trials Here I raise mine Ebenezer; should come, hither by thy help I'm come; Let this blest assurance control, and I hope, by thy good pleasure, That Christ hath regarded my helpless estate, safely to arrive at home. And hath shed his own blood for my soul. Jesus sought me when a stranger, Refrain wandering from the fold of God; My sin—oh, the bliss of this glorious thought!— he, to rescue me from danger, My sin, not in part but the whole, interposed his precious blood. Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more, O to grace how great a debtor Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, O my soul! daily I'm constrained to be! Refrain Let thy goodness, like a fetter, And Lord, haste the day when the faith shall be bind my wandering heart to thee. sight, The clouds be rolled back as a scroll; Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it, The trump shall resound, and the Lord shall prone to leave the God I love; descend, here's my heart, O take and seal it, Even so, it is well with my soul. seal it for thy courts above. Refrain 5. A Mighty Fortress Is Our God 7. Beautiful Savior A mighty fortress is our God, Beautiful Savior, a bulwark never failing; King of Creation, our helper he amid the flood Son of God and Son of Man! of mortal ills prevailing. Truly I'd love Thee, For still our ancient foe Truly I'd serve Thee, doth seek to work us woe; Light of my soul, my Joy, my Crown. his craft and power are great, Fair are the meadows, and armed with cruel hate, Fair are the woodlands, on earth is not his equal. Robed in flowers of blooming spring; And though this world, with devils filled, Jesus is fairer, should threaten to undo us, Jesus is purer; we will not fear, for God hath willed He makes our sorrowing spirit sing. his truth to triumph through us. Fair is the sunshine, The Prince of Darkness grim, Fair is the moonlight, we tremble not for him; Bright the sparkling stars on high; his rage we can endure, Jesus shines brighter, for lo, his doom is sure; Jesus shines purer, one little word shall fell him. Than all the angels in the sky. That word above all earthly powers, Beautiful Savior, no thanks to them, abideth; Lord of the nations, the Spirit and the gifts are ours, Son of God and Son of Man! thru him who with us sideth. Glory and honor, Let goods and kindred go, Praise, adoration, this mortal life also; Now and forevermore be Thine! the body they may kill; God's truth abideth still; his kingdom is forever. 8. Love Lifted Me Each time we sing “lifted,” lift your glass! 6. Holy Ground We are standing on holy ground, I was sinking deep in sin, far from the peaceful shore, and I know that there are angels all around. Very deeply stained within, sinking to rise no more, Let us praise Jesus now, But the Master of the sea, heard my despairing cry, we are standing in his presence on holy ground. From the waters lifted me, now safe am I. Refrain Love lifted me! Love lifted me! When nothing else could help Love lifted me! (Repeat) Souls in danger look above, Jesus completely saves, He will lift you by His love, out of the angry waves. He’s the Master of the sea, billows His will obey, He your Savior wants to be, be saved today. Refrain 9. To God Be the Glory 11. Victory in Jesus To God be the glory, great things He has done; I heard an old, old story, So loved He the world that He gave us His Son, How a Savior came from glory, Who yielded His life an atonement for sin, How He gave His life on Calvary And opened the life gate that all may go in. To save a wretch like me; I heard about His groaning, Refrain Of His precious blood's atoning, Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Then I repented of my sins Let the earth hear His voice! And won the victory. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, Let the people rejoice! Chorus O come to the Father, through Jesus the Son, O victory in Jesus, my Savior, forever. And give Him the glory, great things He has done. He sought me and bought me With His redeeming blood; O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood, He loved me ere I knew Him To every believer the promise of God; And all my love is due Him, The vilest offender who truly believes, He plunged me to victory, That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

  • Jesus Said in Luke 4:18
Deliverance Jesus said in Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised." Sharing the same anointing by His Holy Spirit, I realized that we also have the same commission. Although I preached the Gospel, I laid hands on the sick and healed the brokenhearted; I hadn't moved out into deliverance ministry - but that changed after a mission trip to Europe! I know that it is no coincidence that while ministering in Vienna, I was trained by one of the best in the field of deliverance. It was truly awesome to see the change in peoples' continence and lives after being set free from demonic oppression. Sister Pastor Irene and I stepped out in this new phase of ministry in 1999. We are filled with such compassion to "set the captives free" when we see the control the enemy exercises over some peoples' lives. Many are oppressed by spirits of fear, bondage, and rejection, that had come in during childhood (through no fault of their own), or resulting from abuse by an family member. Jesus said in Luke 10:19: "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." He also stated in Mark 16:17 "And these signs shall follow them that believe: in my name shall they cast out devils..." There are seventeen "Strongmen" identified in the bible.

  • Million Dollar Quartet” by Colin Escott & Floyd Mutrux at the Hippodrome Theatre Through December 2
“Million Dollar Quartet” By Colin Escott & Floyd Mutrux At the Hippodrome Theatre through December 2 By James Cooper MEMORIES ARE MADE OF THIS … PRODUCTION Flashing lights, shimmering jackets and long musical solos radiate through the production of “Million Dollar Quartet,” now at the Hippodrome Theatre. Though the special effects and costumes are beneficial in some instances, the show lacks emphasis in the one area it should stress the most: the music. The whole story focuses on the decisions of four major musicians from the 1950s: Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley. Music is the main concept within the script, but it certainly isn’t the main concept within the performance. The show focuses on a single event: the night that all four musicians of the “Million Dollar Quartet” were present in the same space at the same time, the Sun Records Studio in Memphis on December 4, 1956. Elvis (Cody Slaughter) used to be a member of the Sun Records family but then he switched to RCA, a bigger label. Since this change, Elvis has lost contact with his former producer, Sam Phillips (Vince Nappo). As Elvis returns with his girlfriend Dyanne (Kelly Lamont) he makes it clear to Sam that he wishes he had stayed at Sun. Sam too wishes that Elvis had stayed, but his main focus is now on producing Johnny (David Elkins) and the up-and-coming Jerry Lee (Martin Kaye). All the while Carl (Robert Britton Lyons) has to decide whether or not he wants to leave Sun Records or move on to Columbia.
