Who We Are:

We are a collection of pastors, musicians, and cicerones (AKA beer nerds) in the Cape Fear region.

What It Is:

It’s as simple and wonderful as it sounds: we drink great craft beer and sing hymns. It’s like the Southern version of an Irish pub singalong. Of course, you don’t have to be a beer drinker or even a believer to participate. Anyone is welcome!

Our Values:

 Hospitality: When we say anyone is welcome, we mean everyone. As we say, “Y’all means all!”  Non-Judgmental: We seek to provide an atmosphere where no one feels like they are being judged. Too many people suffer from PTCD (post-traumatic church disorder), and we want to provide a place where people can sing the songs of their heart without worrying about what other people think of them.  Joy: We like to have fun! The Bible lists the “fruit of the Spirit” in Galatians 5, and right after love is joy. So, we sing, we celebrate, and we laugh together.  No Lines: Of course, that doesn’t mean you won’t have to wait for a beer. What it means is that we believe the lines between what is “sacred” and what is “secular” are artificial, and we will walk all over them. So, you might hear “Amazing Grace” sung to the tune of “House of the Rising Sun” or a mash-up between a hymn and a reggae song. And of course, we’ll probably sing our unofficial state anthem, “Wagon Wheel.”  Generosity: We believe that God is generous, and we have been made in the image of God, so we ought to reflect that generosity. That means that we should be profligate tippers with bartenders and servers, who work so hard to help us have an enjoyable experience.
