THE AMERICANS The Americans perform original rock & roll rooted in traditional American music. Formed in Los Angeles in 2010, The Americans have toured all over the United States, twice accompanying Grammy- and Oscar-winner Ryan Bingham. The band’s new albumHome Recordings was released January 2013.

On February 20th The Americans performed on the Late Show with David Letterman.

The Americans recorded “Sweet and Low,” an original composition, for the ANTI Records albumSons of Rogue’s Gallery [Feb 2013], which features new music by Keith Richards, Macy Gray, , and Dr. John. Reviewing the album in April’s Believer magazine, acclaimed critic Greil Marcus wrote, “The Americans [are] led by Patrick Ferris, whose deep voice doesn’t sound like Richard Manuel’s but feels like it.”

The Americans were invited to perform at the 2013 Telluride Film Festival, honoring the Coen Brothers and music producer T Bone Bur- nett for their upcoming filmInside Llewyn Davis.

The band appears in the upcoming film American Epic, produced by Robert Redford, , and Jack White. The Americans’ music is featured in the Michael Mann-produced filmTexas Killing Fields, starring Sam Worthington and Chloë Moretz. The soundtrack includes two original compositions by the band, “Kiss Your Eyes” and “When The Blaze Is Blue.”
