After airing for the first time in autumn 2005, it didn’t take long for PASTEWKA to become a cult television hit. Viewers and critics alike applauded the comedy series with its simple and successful formula: A comedian plays himself, and the name says it all.

In the sitcom, Bastian plays PASTEWKA: A loveable man who always forgets his gym bag, has an active imagination, a never-ending passion to do everything right, a couple of little quirks and the talent of always saying the right thing – but usually at the wrong time…

PASTEWKA was given the world’s most prestigious television award – the Golden Rose of Lucerne – with the “Rose d’Or Press Prize” and the “Golden Rose” in the category “Best Performance in a Sitcom”.

In 2006, PASTEWKA received the German Television Award for “Best Sitcom” and the Comedy Award for “Best Comedy Series”! After the great success of the first season, the second season of the award-winning SAT1 series is now available on DVD. Bastian Pastewka gives his fans a glimpse into his exciting life in nine more episodes, showing the unexpected disasters and strange stories so common to his everyday life.

Like the first season, many big names in the German comedy scene guest star in the second season as well, including Anke Engelke, Thomas Kausch, Oliver Kalkofe, Hugo Egon Balder, Michael Kessler and Martin Schneider, to name a few.
