Award for Best Overseas Scare Event

For the fifth time, Horror Nights has come out on top against international competition. Once again, Europa-Park’s spectacular evening event has been chosen as the world’s best horror event. Horror Nights received the ScareCON Annual Recognition (SCAR) award for the Best Overseas Scare Event on 13 May 2016 at England’s Dreamland in Margate. At the formal awards ceremony, the eerie spine-chiller, which has been running successfully since 2007, prevailed against a number of contenders including Universal Studios Florida’s Halloween Horror Nights (USA), Halloween in Walibi (Belgium), Walibi’s Halloween (Holland), Movie Park’s Halloween Horror Fest and Busch Gardens’ Howl-O-Scream (USA). The UK’s only scare award celebrated the winners with a fascinatingly spooky ceremony featuring ghoulish figures and fantastical acts. Horror Nights has already enjoyed international recognition: In 2010 and 2011 it won the Screamie Award in the Best International Attraction category. In 2014 and 2015, the ScareCON award for Best Overseas Scare Event was added to its trophies. To receive the award once more is yet more proof of the event’s outstanding quality. Project initiator and member of the Executive Board of Europa-Park Michael Mack is proud of its enormous success. Horror Nights is celebrating its anniversary in 2016. The spectacle has been guaranteeing goosebumps for ten years now – this year, from 21 September to 5 November. Further information available at http://www.horror-nights.de/index_en.html.
