The Jail Book Club facilitators started furiously printing off session Contributors plan packets and initiating book drives, dropping off hundreds of books and FM Team learning activities to keep our members’ sharp minds active at the jail, New Beginnings, and Youth Services Center. We even partnered with the DOC FM Friends Education Department to upload book discussion questions, writing prompts, and Kelli’s calming voice doing guided meditations to tablet devices that Maji, Yukia, John were already being used for vocational training at the jail. The Reentry Team FM Members got a crash course in virtual video conferencing, so that our weekly book RW, MH, MC, CM, TTB EL, VC, JL, BF, DL, clubs could be held online (you download software and you can see and hear each other in boxes on a computer screen). GD, TG, AW, CS, RC, MT, KL, KG, MV, SM, And of course, our Prison Book Club program MZ, SH, JB, JG, DC, QS, WH, DA, AB, AC, is still going strong.
