For Social Visit Pass holders, JIM requires a letter from the High Commission or Consulate-General if you wish to extend your visit pass. To obtain such a letter, please send an email with a copy of your passport biodata page and the page showing your expired social visit pass to:

This also applies to returning Singapore-based travellers under the Reciprocal Green Lane (RGL), as well as Malaysian Citizens and Singapore PRs entering Singapore under the Periodic Commuting Arrangement (PCA).

For Singapore citizens and PRs, the cost of the stay at SHN dedicated facilities will be covered by the Government if they had left Singapore before 27 Mar 2020 and return to Singapore on/before 31 Dec 2020. Singaporeans and PRs who had left Singapore from 27 March 2020, as well as foreigners will have to pay the full cost of the dedicated SHN facilities.
