Exmoor Country Club Reciprocal Clubs During Greens Project Exmoor Country Club Reciprocal Clubs During Greens Project August 5th, 2014 – May 2015 Exmoor Country Club has been very fortunate to receive support from many of our local Clubs extending golfing privileges to our members and guests during our project. The following booklet details the available golfing opportunities during the greens resurfacing project that will commence on August 5th, 2014. Our current target to reopen the course with putting greens is by Memorial Day weekend 2015. Key Guidelines to Reciprocity: The following guidelines have been implemented in order to allow Exmoor Country Club members a fair opportunity to play golf while the greens resurfacing project is ongoing. Members playing golf under this reciprocal arrangement must adhere to all rules in force at the host club. All members must take a cart or caddie and pay the appropriate greens fee (if any) to the host club. The number of reciprocal rounds available is limited, especially on weekends and holidays. All requests must be made through your Golf Professional Staff at Exmoor Country Club. No tee times will be accepted when a member of Exmoor Country Club calls the respective club. Each reciprocal club requests that there must be an Exmoor member in each group. All available times will be based on respective club’s golf calendar and availability. All participating clubs will allow an Exmoor member to charge back fees and services to Exmoor. Guest Policies: Exmoor Country Club members hosting a guest will be charged the prevailing guest fee by the host club. The reciprocal arrangement may not apply to Exmoor members invited to play as a guest at one of the reciprocating clubs. The inviting member may be responsible for his/her clubs prevailing guest fee. Sign-Up Procedure Member tee time sign-up begins two weeks in advance of the desired date of play. Players or groups must submit a play request card which indicates the day of requested play, AM or PM tee time preference and the names of all players. If you are submitting a request for more than one player (eg. a foursome), please designate one member as the contact person for the group with a preferred phone number and email address. Tee time request cards may be submitted to the Golf Professional staff in person, electronically through the Club website quick link, phone (847-432- 1171), fax (847-432-1296) or email to [email protected]. If you have a reserved time and will not be able to utilize it, please contact Exmoor Country Club Golf Shop at least 24 hours in advance so we may contact the respective club. Priority of Play Tee times will be assigned on a first request card in basis. For the purpose of this booklet, a group is considered a foursome. Members will be paired if needed. Singles and twosomes will be combined to create foursomes and will be given an equal opportunity to obtain a tee time. To ensure fairness to all members, a member family will be allowed to play at the same facility no more than two times in a four week period. Te Western Amateur Championship Records & Statistics Guide 1899-2020 for te 119t Westrn Amatur, July 26-31, 2021 Glen View Club Golf, Il. 18t editon compiled by Tim Cronin A Guide to The Guide –––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––– Welcome to the 119th Western Amateur Championship, and the 18th edition of The Western Amateur Records & Statistics Guide, as the championship returns to the Glen View Club for the first time since the 1899 inaugural. Since that first playing, the Western Amateur has provided some of the best competition in golf, amateur or professional. This record book allows reporters covering the Western Am the ability to easily compare current achievements to those of the past. It draws on research conducted by delving into old newspaper files, and by going through the Western Golf Association’s own Western Amateur files, which date to 1949. A few years ago, a major expansion of the Guide presented complete year-by-year records and a player register for 1899 through 1955, the pre-Sweet Sixteen era, for the first time. Details on some courses and field sizes from various years remain to be found, but no other amateur championship has such an in-depth resource. Remaining holes in the listings will continue to be filled in for future editions. The section on records has been revised, and begins on page 8. This includes overall records, including a summary on how the medalist fared, and more records covering the Sweet Sixteen years. The 209-page Guide is in two sections. Part 1 includes a year-by-year summary chart, records, a special chart detailing the 37 players who have played in the Sweet Sixteen in the 63 years since its adoption in 1956 and have won a professional major championship, and a comprehensive report on the Sweet Sixteen era through both year-by-year results and a player register.
