Entry Package INAS WORLD FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS – 2014 BRAZIL Invitation to INAS WORLD FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS – BRAZIL The Associação Brasileira de Desportos Para Deficientes Intelectuais – ABDEM - Brazil invites for the 6º World Football Championships 2014. Dates: Arrival: August, 11th 2014. Departure: August, 25th 2014. Event site: Country Brazil State São Paulo Cities Santos, São Vicente e Guarujá. Where: Santos, Guarujá and São Vicente are located at the southern coast of São Paulo - Brazil. § Santos – The major Latin-American port and most important city in the cost of São Paulo. Has great beaches and is a major touristic city in the state. Has marvelous infrastructure for major events with a convention Centre, many hotels and numerous restaurants. § Guarujá – Known as the “Pearl of the Atlantic” due to its beautiful beaches and nature, it is looked by tourists in the high season. The city has beaches for all: there are urban beaches, some isolated, assessable only by trails and surf beaches. Amongst other activities the city offers visits to historical sites, fishing and other activities. São Vicente – It was the first vile of the Americas founded by the Portuguese in 1532. At that same year, on August 22nd, they had the first elections in America, where they chose the officers of the chamber, what now would be a city councilor. Today the city, situated at the east part of the Island o São Vicente, shared with Santos, bases its economy in commerce and tourism. 1 INAS WORLD FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS – 2014 BRAZIL Airport: Guarulhos International Airport - GRU - Governador André Franco Montoro Distances to Guarulhos Airport - Santos: 90 km - Guarujá: 105 km - São Vicente: 90 km Transfer from the airport to hotels The organization will be in charge of the transfer from Guarulhos international Airport to the hotel. Rules: The Confederação Brasileira de Futebol will follow FIFA rules and regulations. General Championship information: 16 teams (countries) will be split in four groups of four teams: Groups A and B, will play on the same day. Groups C and D, will play on the same day, though different days than groups A and B. There will be one game in the morning and one in the afternoon. Each team will have one day of rest between their games. 5 INAS WORLD FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS – 2014 BRAZIL Health services: - All cities have government and privates hospitals and clinics. - The organization will only accept entry of team members that are covered by international health insurance. - Emergency and first aid services will be provided at all official practices and games. - Physiotherapists will be available at official games. - There will be anti-doping testing. - It is recommended that all teams’ members take procedures (vaccination) against yellow fever 30 days before coming to Brazil. Climate - The climate of the cities in the month of August is sunny and little chance of rain. - The average temperature ranges from 18 to 25 degrees. Accommodation: - There will be offered two different types of accommodations in the cities of Santos and Guarujá. - All meals are included and will be served at the hotels Power: Both cities have power outlets of 110V and 220V, depending on location. It is advised that electronic equipment should support both voltages. Adapters will be needed. 6 INAS WORLD FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS – 2014 BRAZIL Eligibility: All participants must be registered in the Inas master list and have a valid registration number no later than the final entry deadline. There is no ‘guest’ entry. Players must show their passport for. The verification of eligibility and accreditation will happen: Date: August 11th 2014 Time: 10:00h to 22:00h. Official language: The official language of the tournament will be English and Portuguese. Since INAS official language is English. All documentation and information will be in English. An interpreter will be provided to each team. ANTECEDENTES El Estadio Manuel Ferreira, conocido popularmente como El Bosque de Para Uno, es un estadio de fútbol de Paraguay que pertenece al Club Olimpia. El Club fue fundado el 25 de julio de 1902 por un grupo de jóvenes paraguayos. El nombre nace a raíz de la idea de su miembro fundador principal, William Paats, un holandés radicado en Paraguay a fines del siglo XIX, quien es considerado el padre del fútbol paraguayo por haber insertado y fomentado la práctica de dicha disciplina deportiva en el país. Olimpia remarcó su predominio en la Liga Paraguaya de Fútbol cuando Manuel Ferreira Sosa asumió la presidencia del club a mediados de los años '50. The sessions were conducted by head coach Leonardo Comdé along with his assistants Wladimir Braga and Sérgio Alves. Atlético’s U17 team won a tournament in Italy (Gradiscca Tournament) in April and at the time of my visits was playing the State U17 tournament having won their first two matches. Moraes’ is a certified Brazilian soccer coach who completed an internship with Atlètico Mineiro during the 2005 season. Maraes is currently working as a coach with Tavarez, an amateur soccer club located in Belo Horizonte, the capital city of Minas Gerais, Brazil. Como é dito no estatuto: “As cores do São Paulo Futebol Clube são as da bandeira paulista: vermelha, branca e preta” A relação entre clube e estado é profunda. Começou ainda em 1932: no decorrer da Revolução Constitucionalista, jogadores do time alçaram armas e dirigentes do clube derreteram troféus de ouro em prol do movimento regional. Perpassa a inauguração do Pacaembu, com o presidente Getúlio Vargas a reconhecer que o Tricolor era o “Clube Mais Querido” pelo fato de a delegação são-paulina ter sido ovacionada por torcedores de todas as agremiações ao adentrar ao gramado com a bandeira do São Paulo, que para todos era a do Estado – pois em 1937, o mesmo Getúlio havia queimado, em praça pública, os estandartes estaduais, proibindo o uso destes. E culmina com a Era do Morumbi, nos anos 70 também chamado de Paulistão pelo gigantismo e pelo fato de acolher todas as torcidas do estado, deixando para a posteridade recordes imbatíveis
