Holland Logistics, Your Gateway to Europe HOLLAND LOGISTICS May we introduce ourselves The Netherlands Holland is a key logistics hub that connects global markets The Netherlands plays a key role in our globalised economy, by connecting producers and consumers worldwide. Our success is based on an alignment of cutting-edge infrastructure and world-class service providers, and our coastal location at the heart of Europe. Exemplary for our position are the Port of Rotterdam, Europe’s largest port and world’s 8th largest, and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, a major European cargo and passenger hub. Both are supported by world class logistics service providers and an extensive network of road, rail, waterways and pipelines. This powerful combination has allowed us to become the Gateway to Europe, accounting for significant parts of European road and water transport. The Netherlands also makes extensive use of IT to deliver optimised supply chain solutions, for example in time-critical areas like food and flowers. In addition, the country is making pioneering efforts in environmentally sustainable logistics and silent logistics. Key aspects and strengths • All major Dutch ports are serviced by companies specialising in storage, transhipment, industrial processing and auxiliary services, as well as transport, packing, warehousing and distribution. From the Port of Rotterdam, all major industrial and economic centres in Western Europe can be reached within 24 hours. • The Netherlands is one of the leading road transport nations in Europe and the largest inland shipper. The Betuweroute, a dedicated double-track freight railway, enables fast transport of containers and bulk goods from Rotterdam to Europe. • The Dutch inland navigation sector attracts worldwide attention. With Europe’s largest, innovative and differentiated fleet it offers a reliable, cost efficient and sustainable extension of maritime transport chains to the European hinterland (in- & export). • Under the Smart Cargo Hub for Europe initiative, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, the Port of Amsterdam and the private sector aim to turn Amsterdam into the fastest and most- reliable multimodal hub for Europe. • The Netherlands is developing a Neutral Logistics Information Platform (NLIP) that will be the standard data communications platform for the industry, to be completed in 2020. From Elten you are heading for the Rhine, a ferry will take you to Millingen aan de Rijn and the Ooijpolder. De subsidie is bedoeld voor het financieren van de onrendabele top van de business case. Wij hebben gemeente Zutphen bij brief over ons voorstel geïnformeerd. Zutphen is een van de drie gemeenten die een aanvraag heeft ingediend voor de Gelderse Proeftuin 2021. Wij hebben op 23 maart jl. besloten om gemeenten in de gelegenheid te stellen subsidie aan te vragen. Daarbij hebben wij de kring van aanvragers beperkt tot de gemeenten die in 2020 hebben ingeschreven op 2e ronde van het landelijk Programma Aardgasvrije Wijken (PAW) en daarbij zijn afgevallen maar toen wel met een voldoende zijn beoordeeld. De gemeenten Nunspeet, Montferland en Zutphen voldoen aan deze voorwaarde en hebben een aanvraag ingediend. De aanvragen voor de 2e ronde PAW vormden de basis, de gemeenten hebben deze geactualiseerd. Wij hebben deze aanvragen beoordeeld aan de hand van 9 criteria: • Financiën: kwaliteit businesscase, financiële haalbaarheid, inzicht financiële consequenties bewoners en financiële risico’s. • Techniek: onderbouwing keuze warmtetechniek en impact techniek op CO2-reductie.

De bevindingen in het concept-RPW waren onder meer gebaseerd op basis van het eerder uitgevoerde Buck-onderzoek “De positionering van Arnhem-Nijmegen voor Mega DC’s” uit september 2016. In het rapport van Buck wordt geconcludeerd: Conclusie 8: De combinatie van forse groei van de logistieke vraag, blijvend tegenvallende vraag van de overige sectoren en het feit dat de meeste regio’s nog volop ‘ruimte’ hebben in de prognoses, resulteren per saldo in de conclusie dat er voor grootschalige logistiek puur kwantitatief bezien tot 2025 géén extra hectaren ruimte-behoefte hoeven te worden opgenomen in de bedrijventerreinenprogramma’s van Arnhem-Nijmegen voor logistiek, omdat er - in kwantitatieve zin - nog voldoende rek zit in de prognoses voor álle sectoren.

An ISP is a document that contains problems, goals, and priorities related to safety. This research proposes a method to select an effective and relevant ISP for a municipality out of all available ISPs. It focused on the ISPs of the 390 municipalities in the Netherlands, and aimed to determine ways to assist/support a new written ISP by suggesting relevant ISPs to municipalities in order to learn effective methods from the suggested ISPs. This was done by scoring all currently existing ISP's to get the best performing plans, focusing on crime statistics. Two dimension-reduction techniques were applied to descriptive statistics of the municipalities, and the best performing technique (t-SNE) was used. The municipalities were then clustered with K-means in the t-SNE space to retrieve groups of similar municipalities. In addition, k-nearest neighbor algorithm was used to find the K most similar municipalities from a starting point. This research showed a solution to score ISPs and two solutions to find similar municipalities in order to suggest relevant ISPs.

In Europe, Lyme borreliosis is caused by infection with a Borrelia burgdorferi (s.l.) genospecies, which is primarily transmitted by a bite of Ixodes ricinus nymphs. The aim of this study was to investigate the spatial and tem- poral variation in nymphal infection prevalence of B. burgdorferi (s.l.) (NIP), density of questing nymphs (DON) and the resulting density of infected nymphs (DIN). Methods: We investigated the infection rates in I. ricinus nymphs that were collected monthly between 2009 and 2016 in 12 locations in the Netherlands. Using generalized linear mixed models, we explored how the NIP, DON and DIN varied during the seasons, between years and between locations. We also determined the genospecies of the Borrelia infections and investigated whether the genospecies composition difered between locations. Results: The overall NIP was 14.7%. A seasonal pattern in infection prevalence was observed, with higher estimated prevalences in the summer than in the spring and autumn. This, combined with higher nymphal densities in summer, resulted in a pronounced summer peak in the estimated DIN. Over the 7.5-year study period, a signifcant decrease in infection prevalence was found, as well as a signifcant increase in nymphal density.
