63 DRAW OR FIXTURE TEMPLATE

The following are templates of how to arrange an annual fixture for a football competition. These templates must be used in conjunction with the following notes:

1. When completing the draw, each team is allocated a R\GHlUP number which is substituted for a team name whilst the draw is being prepared; lHEREWllH 2. The first named team is normally the home side; 3. When the first "series" of matches are completed (as CAZAl'i demonstrated), the fixtures revert to round 1 which then becomes your next round with you reversing the home teams for the second series and so on;

4. One person should prepare the draw which can then be tabled for others to consider;

5. When preparing the draw, the grand final date should be arranged first and then count backwards the number of weeks (as rounds) in the competition - including rep resentative games - to arrive at round 1 on the competi tion starting date;

6. Clubs should always be canvassed regarding any con PROUD SPONSORS OF SPORT ditions which might relate to the use of their home ground, e.g. it might be shared with another winter sport or it is not available on certain dates for some reason or CHECK YOUR TELEPHONE BOOK another. These factors plus representative fixtures should always be taken into consideration when prepar FOR THE NEAREST BRANCH ing the draw; ....,_,,._,,._,,_,,._,,_,,_,,_,,,,. 7. In this template "pairs" are where two neighbouring clubs share the same home ground, and as such either are not drawn to play a home game on the same day; KEY OF PROGRAMMES 8.
