SHSHOPRITE BIG Y Effective Thursday, March 19th all Big Y stores will reserve the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. for customers who are 60 and older or have compromised immune systems.
STOP & SHOP Stop & Shop stores will open to service vulnerable customers from 6:00 a.m. –7:30 a.m. daily welcoming customers who are age 60 and over as well as customers who may have weakened immune systems and are more susceptible to COVID-19.
SHOPRITE The Canton location, 110 Albany Turnpike, Canton, CT 06019, opens 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. daily for people 60 and up as well as those that have compromised immune systems. THE FRESH MARKET WALGREENS WALMART THE FRESH MARKET On weekdays, the first shopping hour of 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. will be reserved for seniors and other individuals most at risk as identified by the CDC. WALGREENS Seniors-Only Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. every Tuesday. Free shipping for online shopping. Accessible Drive-Thru to shop select items during regular hours.
WALMART Walmart is offering special shopping hours. From March 24 through April 28, Walmart stores will host an hour-long senior shopping event every Tuesday for customers aged 60 and older. This will start one hour before the store opens.
DELIVERY/ PICKUP SERVICES
All services run on set times; there is no guarantee of preferred time as these systems are all overwhelmed by demand.
There are service fees as well as delivery fees for most stores.
All services have an employee shop for the customer. The groceries can then be dropped off at your door for a "contactless" delivery.
When ordering, be mindful of what location you select to shop from as well as any substitutions that may need to be made. SHOPRITE FROMZON WHOLE FOODS DELIVERY SHOPRITE FROM HOME When you use ShopRite from Home, you can get the same items you love in store online, without a shopping minimum. Pickup at the store or delivery* to your door. Your order will be ready at the time you select, subject to availability. *Delivery where available.
PEAPOD BY STOP&SHOP Cart should total $60 or more for delivery, $30 or more for pickup. A “contactless delivery” can be requested. Someone at Stop & Shop will shop for your groceries and they can be delivered to your door. This includes fresh produce, but is based on which store you choose to shop at. There are service and delivery fees to be mindful of as well as produce shortages.
AMAZON WHOLE FOODS DELIVERY Cart must total $35 or more. This is an app as well as online shopping service that allows you to have groceries from Whole Foods delivered. Amazon Prime members are exempt from service and delivery fees. I NSTACART WINSTALMART GROCERY INSTACART Cart should total $10 or more. This is an app and online website that allows you to hire a “personal shopper” to go to a designated store and pick up your groceries. There are delivery fees and handling costs but a no contact “Leave at my door” delivery is now available.
WALMART GROCERY This is an online shopping service that allows you to have groceries delivered to your house. There are service and delivery fees depending on the size of your order
RESTAURANT CURBSIDE PICKUP/DELIVERY
Restaurants are offering curbside pickup. Some places are even offering delivery through apps, or online websites that normally do not deliver.
All three of the services listed below allow you to order food from local restaurants and have them delivered.
They all involve service and delivery fees. However, some restaurants have been able to opt out of delivery fees because of COVID-19. UBEREATS DOORDASH
GRUBHUB UBER EATS Uber Eats has hundreds of restaurants to choose from. When you open the app, you can scroll through the feed for a particular restaurant or cuisine. When you find something you like, tap to add it to your cart. Upon check out, you’ll see your address, an estimated delivery time, and the price of the order including tax and delivery fee. When everything looks right, just tap Place Order.
DOORDASH DoorDash connects you with the best nearby restaurants. Use the DoorDash website or app to browse eligible restaurants. Order and securely pay online and your food is on the way! You can even track your delivery right to your door. Getting your favorite foods delivered is that easy.
GRUBHUB Grubhub helps you find and order food from wherever you are. How it works: you type in an address, it tells you the restaurants that deliver to that location and also shows restaurants near you for pickup. It filters your results accordingly. When you find what you're looking for, you can place your order online or by phone.
