The National Collection for The Catholic University of America will be collected this weekend. Your investment will enable the University to continue to support the Church and to advance its work of preparing the next generation of leadership, both religious and lay, of our Church and nation. The Missionary Society of St. Paul (MSP) - Fr. Clement Kanu, MSP is visiting with us this weekend. The mission in Malawi provides rehabilitation and support for over 360 orphans who lost their parents due to AIDS. They need our financial assistance to continue this mission. They also need funds to provide fresh water wells, and education in rural communities of Chad, Malawi, South Sudan, Kenya and Nigeria. They sponsor seminarians, who will become our future priests, and support priests in the founding/building of new churches. May God bless you! ~~~~~~~~~~

ORGAN RECITAL – Concert Organist Brenda Lynne Leach will perform a recital on our newly renovated 1910 Felgemaker Organ on Sunday, at 7 PM. Brenda has performed throughout the USA, Europe, Israel, and Russia. She has given recitals in renowned venues such as Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, Westminster Cathedral in London, Washington National Cathedral, and St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York. MIRACLE OF CHRISTMAS – Join us in celebrating the season as the Christmas Story is brought to life on a panoramic stage with spectacular special effects and live animals, at the beautiful Sight & Sound Theatre in Lancaster PA, on Friday, 29. The bus will depart from the Queen of Peace Church parking lot at 8:30 AM (SHARP). You will arrive at the PA Dutch Family Style @ Good ‘N Plenty Restaurant at 12:30 PM. You will have time to shop at their bakery and gift shop. You will leave the Restaurant at 2 PM, and arrive at the Theatre with Show Time at 3 PM. On your way home, there will be a turnpike rest room stop with time to grab a snack. Your approx. arrival time back at the Queen of Peace Church parking lot is 9:30 PM. Adult & Teen price/person is $140, which includes your meal, transportation, your show ticket (mid-level seating), and your meal and driver gratuities. Child price (aged 3-12) is $95/ child. There are 18 tickets remaining, and your reservation will be based on your FULL PAYMENT. (Checks payable to: Freedom Excursions) and is due in the Parish Office before Friday, 4th. Birth of Mary Celebration, Sunday, September 8 – Held at St. Catherine of Siena Church/Shrine, Duncansville. The theme for the day is “Life of Mary, Our Mother”. There will be Mass at 8 and 11 AM, Msgr. Robert Saly celebrating, and a continuous Rosary in the Church/Shrine from Noon – 4:30 PM. At 5 PM the Shrine Mass will process with Bishop Bartchak as the Celebrant/Homilist. A spaghetti dinner will be available from Noon – 4 PM. C ~~~~~~~~~~

The Franciscan Friars, T.O.R., Loretto invites you to participate with them in celebrating the Fatima Devotions on Friday, at 6:30 PM in the Gardens at Mount Assisi. (In case of inclement weather, it will be held at the Basilica of St. Michael the Archangel). The sermon will be delivered by Deacon Rick Golden. All are welcome! ~~~~~~~~~~
