For this process you’ll need; • A desktop computer and an iPhone • Some of your organization’s basic legal and contact information • Your organization’s D-U-N-S number* • Someone with authority to sign legal contracts on your organization’s behalf • A credit card for the mandatory $99 per year purchase In the case you do not already know your organization’s D-U-N-S number* you can expect this process to take anywhere between 2 and 3 weeks. If you do, please proceed to step 2 of this document; “Enable Two-Step Verification and Authentication”. 1) Go to https://appleid.apple.com/account#!&page=create 2) Provide all the required personal information along with answers to the 3 security questions (which must be remembered) and click “Continue”. 3) Enter the 6-digit verification code sent to the email you provided above and click “Continue”. 5 You should now be redirected to your Apple ID account page and you can proceed to step 2 of this document; “Enable Two-Step Verification and Authentication”. Please notice; before enabling Two-Factor Verification and Authentication in step 2 of this document you may be required to provide answers to 2 of your security questions when signing in using your Apple ID account credentials why the answers must be remembered. 6 Step 2 - Enable Two-Step Verification and Authentication This step assumes you do not already have two-step verification and authentication enabled on your Apple ID account. If you do, please proceed to step 3 of this document; “Find or request your D-U-N-S number”. 1) Go to https://appleid.apple.com/#!&page=signin and sign in with your newly created Apple ID account credentials. 2) Enter your chosen answers to the 2 security questions and click “Continue”. 7 3) Read through the “Apple ID & Privacy” information and click “Continue”. You should now be redirected to your Apple ID account page. 4) Click on “Get Started...” under “Security” and “TWO-STEP VERIFICATION”. 8 5) Read through the “Getting Started with Two-Step Verification” information and click on “Continue”. 6) “Add a trusted phone number” to which you can receive your verification code and click on “Continue”. 9 7) Enter the 4-digit verification code sent to the phone number provided above and click on “Continue”. 8) Under “Verify Trusted Devices” click on “Continue”. 10 9) Make sure you take note of and print your recovery key (should be stored in a secure place) and click on “Continue”. 10) Enter your recovery key and click on “Confirm”. 11 11) Read through the “Enable Two-Step Verification” information, check the “I understand the conditions above” checkbox and click on “Enable Two-Step Verification”. 12) Click on “Done”. Two-Step Verification is now be enabled on your Apple ID account. From now on; with each sign in using your Apple ID credentials you will receive a 4-digit verification code sent by SMS to your trusted phone number (see the screenshots below). 12 13) In order to turn on Two-Factor Authentication, go to “Settings” in your iPhone and click on “Sign in to your iPhone” and sign in with your Apple ID credentials. 13 14) On your Apple ID account, click on “Password & Security”, “Update Account Security” and then “Continue” in order to turn on Two-Factor Authentication. Once both Two-Step Verification and Authentication is turned on, proceed to step 3 of this document “Find or request your D-U-N-S number”. 14 Step 3 - Find or request your D-U-N-S number What is a D-U-N-S number? A D-U-N-S number is a unique 9-digit number assigned to organizations around the world by Dun & Bradstreet, D&B (https://www.dnb.com/). The number can be used to verify your organization’s identity and legal entity status when conduction business internationally. If you are a Swedish organization, a D-U-N-S number should already be assigned to your organization by D&B. If you are an organization outside of Sweden, please check the D&B website for the corresponding information for your country. For more information about the D-U-N-S number in the context of enrollment in the Apple Developer Program read more here; https://developer.apple.com/support/D-U- N-S/. For this step there are two options; Option 1. Find your D-U-N-S number through the Bisnode UPIK service (not part of the official Apple process). This is the less reliable option. Option 2. Request your D-U-N-S number through Apple. This is the more reliable option. In the case you already know your organization’s D-U-N-S number you can proceed to step 4 of this document; “Enroll in the Apple Developer Program”. 15 Option 1 - Find your D-U-N-S number While not part of the official Apple process, the Bisnode (https://bisnode.com) UKIP-search service may help you quickly find your organization’s D-U-N-S number. For the official Apple process choose “Option 2 - Request your D-U-N-S number” below. 1) Go to https://www.upik.de/en/upik_suche.cgi. 2) In the UKIP search from enter at least your “Company” name and “Country”, solve the security captcha and click “Find”. 16 3) Select your company from the list of search results. 17 4) If required, enter the security characters and click “Continue”. 18 5) Verify your company information is correct and take note of the D-U-N-S number. Once you have your D-U-N-S number you can proceed to step 4 of this document; “Enroll in the Apple Developer Program”. If you did not find your company, your D-U-N-S number or if you are unsure if the information from Bisnode UPIK above is correct, please choose “Option 2 – Request your D-U-N-S number” below. Option 2 - Request your D-U-N-S number 1) Go to https://developer.apple.com/enroll/duns-lookup/ and sign in with you Apple ID account credentials. 2) If asked if you “Trust this browser?” select the option which suits you. 19 3) Read through and agree to the “Apple Developer Agreement” by checking the “By checking this box I confirm...” checkbox and click on “Submit”. 4) On the “Look up your D-U-N-S number” page, provide “Organization Information”, “Headquarters Address”, “Your Contact Information”, enter the security characters and click on “Continue”. 20 You will be redirected to the “Request a D-U-N-S Number” page with the notice “Your information is being processed. Once you have received your D-U-N-S number by email proceed to step 4 of this document; “Enroll in the Apple Developer Program”. Please notice; according to Apple it may take up to 14 business days before you can start using your D-U-N-S number once you’ve received it. This may however not always have to be the case why we recommend you try to enter it in the next step as soon as you’ve received it. 21 Step 4 - Enroll in the Apple Developer Program 1) Go to https://developer.apple.com/account and sign in with your Apple ID credentials. 2) On the “Get Started” page, click on “Join the Apple Developer Program”. 3) Click on “Enroll” in the top right corner. 4) Read through the information on the “What You Need To Enroll” page and click on “Start Your Enrollment” at the bottom. 22 5) Verify your “Apple ID information” is correct and select “Company/Organization” under “Entity Type”. Read through the additional information and click on “Continue”. 23 6) On the “Authority to Sign Legal Agreements” page, select one of the two options; “I am the owner/founder...” or “My organization has given me the authority...” and enter “Your Work Email”. If you choose the second option (“My organization has given me the authority...”) provide Apple with a “Verification Contact” they can get in touch with. Enter your “Organization Information”, enter the security characters and click on “Continue”. 7) On the next page you’ll see a summary of all the information entered above. Verify the information is correct and check the “This is the correct headquarters address for my organization.” checkbox and click on “Submit”. 24 8) After clicking on “Submit” you should see a page with the notice “Your enrollment is being processed.”.
