The following are conditions that prohibit you from receiving PMU services. • Under 18 years of age • Diabetes • Pregnant or lactating women • Glaucoma • Active dermatologic disorders (e.g., Psoriasis, Eczema, Rosacea) and undiagnosed rashes and/or blisters on the site that is to be treated • Easily triggered post inflammatory hyper pigmentation • Transmittable blood conditions (e.g., HIV or Hepatitis) • Active skin cancer in the area to be treated • Hemophiliac • Thyroid medication • Healing disorders • Blood thinners • Uncontrolled high blood pressure or mitral valve disorder • Accutane or steroids • Chemotherapy & radiation full treatments: prophylactic chemotherapy is generally safe to proceed • Active fever blister/cold sore anywhere on the

OTHER CONTRAINDICATIONS: • AHAs (lactic, glycol citric, retinoid and tartaric acids) or any over the counter creams and for skin tone correcting, anti-aging and exfoliating can fade and discolor your PMU.

• Flu or Cold: Please stay home and reschedule your appointment if you have a cold, flu or sinus/respiratory .

• Coumadin: Amount of bleeding and response to topical epinephrine will determine coverage per application. If excessive bleeding occurs, extra appointments/applications may be necessary for desired outcome or procedure may not be effective.

• Eyelift or : Wait about 3 months before receiving PMU.

MICROBLADING ON OILY SKIN: With this kind of skin type the pigment fades easily, and after healing strokes will be faint. Microblading is not recommended for those who have oily skin. Microblading can leave visible marks () on oily skin, making this skin type a contraindication for this procedure. Also, oily skin tends to regenerate more quickly than other skin types, therefore pigment does not “stick” and will fade quicker.

• Alcohol, coffee, strong tea, or blood thinning medicines for at least 1 day before treatment

• Heavy and spicy foods on the day of treatment

PERMANENT EYEBROWS/MICROBLADING:

Arrive to your appointment with your eyebrows penciled the way you like them (optional). This will allow me to see how your brows look day to day.

Regular makeup can be worn immediately after your procedure; HOWEVER, all cosmetics should not be applied onto the treated area for a minimum of 2 weeks after the procedure.

The eyebrows WILL appear bolder (thicker & darker) immediately after the procedure. This is common in all PMU applications. It will begin to soften up after a few days. Hair strokes appear crisp and bold at first but will soften up as the tissue heals.

Don’t be alarmed if pigment comes off onto Q-Tip when applying aftercare ointments.

Don’t be alarmed by fading after the first application. Final color cannot be judged until 2 weeks post-procedure.

It is very common to have areas fade more so than others. This is part of the healing process and will be treated at the recommended touch-up appointment. Previously tattooed eyebrows may take 1-3 treatments to achieve the desired result. Only use the recommended ointment (a very thin coat) on the treated area for 10 days post-procedure.

Slight swelling with varying degrees of redness may occur. Fairer complexions will tend to be more pink or red than others.

Infections are extremely rare, however, if red ring appears around your brows, seek medical attention. Brows may weep for first few days, change your pillowcase nightly. •

If planning a chemical peel, MRI or other medical procedure, please notify technician you have iron-oxide cosmetic .

If planning to have or a Photo Facial using IPL, notify laser specialist of cosmetic tattoo so this area may be avoided by the laser. Both ablative and non-ablative lasers may cause pigment to turn black.
